The next day was spent with the group just goofing about since we were too lazy to do anything. It was much easier to talk to all of them now because despite us only having known each other for days, they had somehow gotten me to warm up to the. This wasn't something that happened on a regular basis, or ever really.

Anxiety kind of puts you in a tough spot when it comes to making friends, so I'll count myself lucky considering how easy it was for me to blend in with the group.

It was like the spot I occupied in the group as at now, had always been left open for me, waiting for the right time, or the moment of my arrival.

The guys and I were having fun reminiscing yesterday's events and eventually dared to joke about it. I had to admit, we were on the same page, we really were, that is until Alisa mused about probability of getting caught.

"Imagine if we got caught yesterday, our parents would have been trying to get us from jail by now. I don't know about you guys, but I would have been grounded for the rest of my life," Alisa said as she swung her legs which were hanging from the edge of my queen sized bed, she was currently laying on.

"I doubt my parents would've been far off from yours," Louis supplied with a shiver, which was probably due to his thoughts, and not the ice cream he was eating.

Mason and Raven were sat in a corner of my widely spread bedroom, laughing at something on Mason's phone, they had undoubtedly forgotten we were here with them. Jody just buried her face in one of my novels, she could be a nerd sometimes. Scratch that, she was a nerd and she knew it, she was loud and proud about it.

Three hours later, an amount of junk food that couldn't be considered healthy, we were all staring at the screen of the TV in the living room as the credits rolled over. We had just finished rewatching X-Men evolution, all of us having watched it before.

I wasn't much of an action movie fan, but all things mutant were alluring.

"So, what are we going to do for the for the fund raiser," Jody asked, turning so she was now facing us. We all shrugged seeing as none of us had given it a thought after we were told about it. We lapsed into a comfortable silence thinking about a suitable answer to Jody's question.

"How about we baked a few things to sell at the fund raiser, that way we could contribute to the fund raising without having to be in the talent show or the auction," I suggested, breaking the silence.

"That'd be fantastic, besides, the talent show would be filled with nerds trying to prove to the world that they could be the next Albert Einstein," Alisa huffed, no malice whatsoever in her tone.

She wasn't a fan of school in general, and she wasn't being subtle about that fact. It was painfully obvious that she'd rather spend her time shopping if anything else.

And that was why I really loved the group I had managed to insert myself into, we were all different, but we accepted each other without questions. Though we argued occasionally, ok screw that we argued a lot, but it was always about pointless issues, and we usually laughed it off after a while.

"The popular kids like to make an appearance during this sort of things. I bet you a million bucks—which I don't have— that they have their eyes set on the auction," Mason disclosed in a matter-of-fact tone. Mason was in the schools soccer team, he had the popularity, along with all the perks that came with being a jock.

But, and I quote, 'they're all mindless assholes and I'd rather spend time with you guys than be surrounded by their dumbasses' and in truth, he spent more time in our company, although he does have some friends who he claims are much lesser assholes, and have more than two brain cells.
