Valentine's Special

A/N: This chapter was supposed to be before Jayden left. I had forgotten to write a Valentine's day chapter because of the whole gang related issues. The perfect opportunity being Valentine's day just presented itself.

Sam's POV

"You're asking me to be your Valentine's date on the morning of Valentine" I ask somewhat dazed as I stretch on my bed.

I had been asleep when I heard something outside but being my usual sleep induced self, I ignored it. Unfortunately that thing was persistent and before I could even understand what was going on, Jayden climbed into my room through my window which I unfortunately forgot to lock.

"What, you don't want to be my Valentine's date?" He questions looking almost heartbroken and a little confused.

"I'm not saying I don't want to be your date, I'm just saying that most people would have asked their dates out weeks or even months before Valentine's day" I explain raising an eyebrow at him.

"Well I'm not most people, and I didn't know you had to ask months before the actual day, you are my first Valentine's date you know" he says surprising me but then I feel less surprised when I realize that he's mine too.

"You're mine too" I tell him and his eyes widen while I just shrug.

"My anxiety made it hard for me to ask people, I usually end up scaring away the ones who ask me too"
I respond when I remember how I had freaked out when Robbie from my biology class had asked me out and how I had ended up spewing out rubbish and embarrassing myself. But right now with Jayden standing in front of me, I'm kind of glad I did.

"I'm sure I asked you out better than any other guy anyway, I mean I climbed in through your window at four in the morning with a box of chocolate, a large teddy and a Valentine card. That's a whole grand gesture there if you ask me" Jayden says defiantly and I had to laugh, this boy is so full of himself.

"I'm sure you are the best Valentine's day partner there is" I say to humor him but he laughs it off.

Somehow during our laughing spree, we got settled on my bed with my head resting on his shoulder. I yawned loudly and turned to give Jayden an embarrassed smile.

He smiles and shakes his head at me before standing up from my bed.

"Well it's almost five o'clock so I better leave you to go back to sleep, we still have school today. I'll come and pick up by seven for the date but in the meantime, see you at school" he says going to the window.

When I dodn't move he stops walking and turns to face me.

"Well what are you waiting for, get under your covers" he says and I obey him fighting back a yawn.

When I am settled he opens my window but before climbing out, he turns around and smiles at me.

"Good night Sam" he whispers and I snort at that.
"It's morning, jerk"
"I know that nerd, now close your eyes and sleep"

I do as he says and he whispers a "sleep tight" before going out through my window and shutting it after him. I let myself drift back to sleep with a wide smile on my face.

"At least Jayden finally had the balls to ask you out, I had to ask Blake out, can you imagine that" Louis cries out dramatically and I decide to play along.

"I know right, it's so absurd"

"Tell me about it" he huffs then pretends to be checking his nails nonchalantly.
