Today has been really weird so far. For some reason everybody was so giddy and happy, whispering things to themselves every now and then. The gossiping had also gone up a notch seeing as people were talking more, and in lower volumes than they usually do.
Even people I have never seen gossiping before were whispering in their friends ears, and being all giggly and shit. The usually nonchalant boys were trying so hard to contain their excitements and that was a first, for me at least.
"So guys, care to tell me what drug the whole school is on? For crying out loud it's school, people shouldn't be this happy while they're in school," I exclaimed as soon as I settled down on our regular bench.
"It's Friday, of course people will be happy to that it's the weekend," Raven replied shrugging.
"Yeah I get that, but I still think today's excitement is a bit too much." I'm not the only thinking this am I?
"That might have to do with the fact that today's the day Bella's throws her Welcome Back to School party," Louis answered, his eyes still focused on his Spanish assignment.
"So, why is that such a big deal?"
"Sam, it's the first party of our senior year, of course everyone is going to be psyched about it," Alisa explained with a roll of her brown eyes. Her curly red hair was going every witch way, but she didn't seem to mind.
According to her, "it was one of those days."
"Well sorry to burst your bubble but parties aren't really my scene."
I mean obviously because I have major anxiety issues. But I can't tell that, I'm not willingly to risk a great set of friends leaving me for something I can't control. I know what you guys would say, if they're really you're friends they'd understand. Well this chick isn't willingly to take such a big risk.
"You will be coming to the party right?" Alisa asked, narrowing her pretty eyes at me.
"I really doubt it, I'm not very good at parties," I answered, trying to sound as casual as possible.
"There's no way your missing the first party of senior year, that'll have you scarred for life," Louis inputed dramatically, abandoning his Spanish homework to raise an eyebrow at me because apparently, Sam going to a party is more important than getting a good grade on Spanish.
I rolled my eyes at their dramatics, "it's just going to be a whole lot of sweaty bodies, alcohol, and obnoxiously loud music, what's there to miss." Except you guys not having to witness a full blown panic attack from your friend. I mean it's a win win for everybody.
"You're coming with us Sam, and there's no talking your way out of it. But don't worry, we'll be with you the whole time," Jody who had been totally focused on her math revision a minute ago drawled, giving me a cherssire grin that said a lot more than I cared to know.
I groaned loudly, before resting my head on our round table. I haven't had an anxiety attack since I moved to New York and hopefully, this stupid party wouldn't change that.
"Hey look, it's Jayden and his crew and FYI, they are headed this way," Mason announced, a smirk on his face like he hadn't just said FYI. Only him could get away with such monstrosities.
I looked up and was indeed graced with the sight of them, along with some chick that had on items of clothing that should only be reserved for the beach—like oh my God it was fall, and way too much make up for a place as undeserving as school.
