Sam's POV"Soooo, what's the plan?" I asked wearily secretly wishing he'd come up with something better than what I was conjuring in my head.
"We walk up to Mr Roderick and demand to see Daisy, see easy peasy. The old man doesn't stand a chance against all of us" Cole concluded a silly smile on his face.
"My dad isn't old, he's forty-five" Jayden replied in an unsure tone.
"He still doesn't stand a chance against us" Cole replied with a nonchalant shrug.
"Uhm, Cole, I don't think you get this, his dad is a gang leader" Mason drawled out as if talking to a child.
"Ohh, why didn't you guys say so" he said a look of realization crossing his face.
We all stared at him in awe, like what the heck men.
"You know, for a second there I actually believed you had something good to say. But you're just one big bucket of disappointment aren't you" Alisa commented glaring at Cole so hard I thought his head will come off.
Cole didn't seem phased by the insult though, instead him face had morphed into one of confusion and he was now looking at Alisa like she had grown an extra head.
"You know I really doubt he understood anything you said" I told Alisa and she heaved a sigh of annoyance.
I was a bit disappointed and scared because now I had to go along with my plan. I had to tell someone though and my only option seemed to be Logan, not because I trust him but because he's the only one I could guilt into keeping the plan a secret. That and the fact that he couldn't try to stop me.
After a lot of fruitless brain storming, we all decided to call it a day and just go home before our parents begin to involve the police on our whereabouts. Ever since Jayden's little disappearing skeme they've been a lot more careful with us.
I saw Logan get up and excuse himself probably to get out all the ice cream we have been leaking from his system. The perfect opportunity was right in front of me and I couldn't just throw it away so I got up and excused myself too.
I waited for Logan to come out of the bathroom and when he did he almost punched my nose off. I guess you shouldn't be coming this close to a gang member.
"What the fuck Sam, you scared me" he whisper yelled withdrawing his fist that was just inches away from my nose. I wonder how I would have explained a broken nose to everyone if his fist did make contact with my nose.
That aside, there were other present matters aside.
"Logan, I'm about to give you an information and you're not permitted to tell anyone ok. If you do, you can kiss stitching your bruised friendship with Jody goodbye"He narrowed his eyes at me but didn't say anything so I took that as an affirmation and continued.
"I have a plan to get Daisy back" I whispered my voice incredibly quiet and low.
"You do, well that terrific news but I don't still get the part were I'm not allowed to tell anyone.
"I'm exchanging my captivity for Daisy's freedom"
When I put this way, I sound heroic when I'm not."I mean everyone will want to know what you came up with and......... You're what" Logan stopped suddenly staring at me like I had an arm growing out of my eye. With the intensity of his gaze, I'll not be surprised if I did though.
"That's the only way we would be able to get Daisy back" I reasoned coming closer to him.
"Do you really think Roderick is gonna buy your idea. Like he's just going to be like 'ok', meet me at the mall so I can switch you guys"
I knew he was being sarcastic but I still couldn't resist the suggestive smile that was beginning to play on my features.
"That's were you come to play Logan" I answered and he raised an eyebrow at me so I continued."You're going to convince Roderick that I'd be a better bait than Daisy. I'm sure he kidnapped Daisy to get to Jayden so tell him kidnapping me will get to him more"
"You're using Jayden's feelings against him and that's wrong" Logan said staring past me.
"You're not one to talk, after what you did to Jody" I knew I struck a nerve because he flinched but I couldn't bring myself to feel apologetic.
"Besides I'm doing this for a good cause, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to handle being kidnapped better than a six year old child" I concluded crossing my arm and giving him a hard look.
"You're going to have to do this for me if you ever want to get back in the group and gain Jody's trust back.
"I really don't like your idea Sam, you could get both of us killed if Roderick ever finds out that we're playing him"
"I hope you don't mind me asking but what do you plan to do after getting yourself kidnapped" Logan asked a skeptical look on his face.
"Hold up until you guys are strong enough to attack him" I replied like it was the most full proof plan in the world.
Logan's stare was making me feel stupid but I couldn't blame him, I was behaving stupid after all. 'Although my plan has a lot of loop holes, it's the only thing I've got to work with' I thought consoling myself.
"I see you've already had this idea engraved in your mind there's no stopping you, I sincerely hope you don't regret this" Logan said before leaving.
'I hope so too' I thought to myself refusing to let the realization of my plan sink to my brain.
"I'll text you the rest of the details of my plan as soon as I figure out when I want to execute it" I said before he exited the room. He acknowledged what I said with a brief nod before sauntering off.
When I knew he was out of earshot, I sank to the floor I put my head in between my lap. I hope everything works out or Jayden will be crushed for ever and I just can't bear to see that.
After about ten minutes of trying to gain my composure and calming down the mini panic attack that was trying to arise from overthinking, I got up from the floor and made my way back to the living room.
I immediately noticed that most of my friends had left and I was only left with Jayden, Logan, Jody and Blake.
"I wanted to come and get you before they left but Logan stopped me so I just offered to explain their absence for them" Jody said eyeing me thoroughly.
I nodded in understanding before going to sit beside Jayden.
"How are you holding up" I asked and he gave me a sad smile that broke my heart and fueled me to go along with my plan. There is no way he will be as distraught as this if I was the one kidnapped, he doesn't like me that much.
I put my hands around his torso and tried to comfort him with a hug, we stayed like that for several minutes until a bing from Jayden's pocket broke us apart.
"I gotta go home, my mom needs me" Jayden said getting up with a certain agility I usually see when his friends and family are involved.
"Blake come on man" Jayden said giving him a hand so he could pull himself off the couch.
Jody and Logan also got ready to leave after about ten minutes of Logan trying to convince Jody to accept a lift from him. She did, eventually.
I waved the pair of them off as the pulled out of my compound.
Mom and dad weren't back yet and they were picking Ben from a friend's house. It was just a few minutes past seven so it was still kind of early.
I made myself a bowl of popcorn and sat down and binge watched mean girls all over. That movie just doesn't get old.
