"Ben, Maxx is here" I yelled in the direction of the stairs where Ben was.

"Hey Maxx how are you" I asked politely, smiling at him.

"I'm fine Sam" he said with an equally large smile of his own. Maxx and Ben have hit it off really well and now they were practically brothers.
Maxx was a sweet little guy and his slight Korean accent made him cuter.

"Stop talking to my best friend Sam" Ben said coming in front of me and throwing his arms around Maxx's shoulder. He was still mad that I hogged Maxx two weeks ago when he came to visit.

"Have fun boys, love you" I called out as they caught into Maxx's mom's car.

"Hello Mrs Mang" I greeted waving my arms.
"Hello Sam" she responded flashing me a sweet smile before pulling out of our house. The Mang's are one big happy family I thought to myself going back inside.

Mom and dad are at a hotel celebrating New years Eve that and also doing a couple of things you don't wanna know.

It took a long time for me to convince them to leave the house and before that I had already spent an equally long time convincing them to let Ben stay at Maxx's house. In other words I spent yesterday in a weirdly fruitful way.

Fruitful because now I have the house to myself which means I and the gang are spending New year's Eve at my house. I texted them a while ago which means they should be here soon. Louis and Cole are back so we're now complete which means it's present opening time.

I flopped down on the couch turning on the TV. It's annoying how most shows are usually Christmas and New year related during this season.

About half an hour later, the ringing of my bell told me that they were here. I opened the door for them as their excited chatters filled my living room.

"So what are we going to do now that we have your whole house to ourselves" Alisa questioned placing her legs on the small glass table in front of her.

"We could have a movie night" Jody suggested.
"Lameeee, we're getting waisted" Cole said while Jayden cheered.

"How about we camp outside and drink not to get drunk but just to take our minds off things for a while" Mason put in nonchalantly.

"Sure, I think we need" Raven added and we all of agreed well except for Cole who still wanted to get drunk.

"Oh and we could open our presents outside" I added excitedly and they all mumbled in agreement.

We put on really thick clothes to keep us warm as we made our way outside carry heavy layers of blankets and booze along with three pizza boxes.

We lay the blankets on the cold floor forming a circle and then we kept the pizza and booze by the side. Going back in we brought out our gifts and set them in the middle.

We gathered round and started opening the gifts. Raven was the first to give everyone what she got them. Surprisingly she gave me a hoodie but that's not what is surprising, it's the fact that the hoodie wasn't black that surprised me. It was infact a white hoodie with I ❤ U written on the front of it, the I and U in a dark green colour.

Her gift for Mason was a football jersey he had been dieing for so when she gave it to him, he pulled her in a bone crushing hug making her blush. The whole scene was cute really, made me wish I had a boyfriend.

The rest of the gift opening went smoothly apart from the argument Cole and Blake had which was over the fact that Blake had gotten him a book. He stopped complaining when Blake promised to buy him the new video game he wanted.
