Dedicated to its Its_yuvi_here for her funny comments and for making my lazy ass self finally write this chapter.
Sam's POV
I woke up to the blaring of my alarm causing me to groan loudly which only worsened my situation. The pounding of in my head has increased since yesterday and at this rate I was on the verge of killing someone.
Not even bordered by the profanities I was currently uttering, I grudgingly went to my alarm and shut the damn thing off. I then proceeded to crawl back into my bed but my actions were cut short by the series of coughs that racked up my throat.
After my murderous coughing fit, I finally made it to my bed and went under the warm covers. My whole body felt like shit.
How did I go from feeling like a mystery/thriller movie actress yesterday to feeling like heaving out my guts today.
I unplugged my phone and dialed my mom's number. I know you're wondering why I'm doing this when we literally live in the same house but there is no way I'm yelling her name with my extremely sore throat.
"Sam? I thought you're still in bed, why are you calling" Mom asked and I could hear the confusion in her voice.
"Mom, I think I'm sick" I responded my voice hoarse and scratchy even to me.
"Oh sweetie, I'm coming to room right now" my mother cooed so I cut the call and stared up at the ceiling waiting for her.
The sound of my door sliding open had me directing my line of sight to it and there stood my mother worry written all over her features.
I would have rolled my eyes at how easily worried she could be but I couldn't so much as move them without feeling like they were about to pop out from their sockets.
I groaned and that seemed to snap my mom out of her worried daze, she made her way to my bed and sat on the edge. I hand came to rest on my forehead and I shivered from the coolness of it.
"Sam you're burning up" my mom shrieked and immediately exited the room coming minutes later with a small towel and a bowl of water.
She dipped the rag in the water and wiped my body trying to reduce my fever. When she was satisfied by the considerable decrease in temperature, she got some antibiotics and painkillers for me to take.
"Sweetie I'm already late for work so I have to go, your dad already took Ben to school and I'm going to inform your school that you're home sick ok" she said kissing my cheeks.
I just nodded since I didn't have the energy to speak.
"Don't wear yourself out ok, you need a lot of rest, I think you came down with a cold or something" she said which made me snort, I can't even move so there's no way I'm going to wear myself out.
After about fifteen minutes the house was completely silent meaning that my mom had gone to work. The meds must've been kicking in because I was starting to feel dizzy.
~~~~~~~~
I must've fallen asleep for a really long time because when I woke up it well past noon, 1:40pm to be precise. School closes in an hour and twenty minutes and I've missed the whole of it.
Why did I wake up again, oh right because a certain noise has been disturbing me for the past ten minutes.
I looked to my window just in time to see a pebble being thrown at it. I tried ignoring it but after five more minutes of pebble throwing I couldn't take it anymore.
I stomped to my window and lifted it up ready to yell at whoever it is that was disturbing my sleep but couldn't because a pebble was flying right at me.
