Mahal
It's been three weeks since the last time Jacob and I talked about Mara's flight to London. He was devastated and I guess he's still is. Today's a Friday and Mara's flight will be on Sunday. Hindi ko alam kung nakapag-usap ba silang dalawa ni Cob about sa pag-alis niya dahil wala namang nababanggit sa akin si Cob kahit halos araw-araw kaming magkasama.
"May feeling ako na 'yung pag-alis ni Mara papuntang London ang reason why she broke up with Jacob," Lei said before drinking her iced coffee. We're here right now sa Starbucks malapit sa UST, waiting for Cob.
"Gagi, ayan din naisip ko!" Tonia agreed. "Pakners talaga tayo, Lei!" She joked, raising her hand para makipag-apir kay Lei, but Lei just rolled her eyes at. "Tangina. Bwisit ka talaga, Leila Monique," Tonia cursed at uminom sa frappe niya.
"Ace, hindi ba block mate mo si Mara? Wala ba siyang nababanggit sa 'yo?" Tonia asked Ace. Ako, nakikinig lang sa kanila. I don't have the strength para maki-chika. At isa pa, wala rin akong alam so wala lang akong masasabi.
"Just because we're block mates doesn't mean we're close na," naiiritang sagot ni Ace. She even rolled her eyes at Tonia as well. Sinimangutan siya ni Tonia. "Plus, I don't like her attitude." I nodded, agreeing to what Ace just said.
"Alam niyo kayo, napakasasama ng ugali niya sa akin, ha!" Tonia complained, but we just laughed at her.
Sa aming apat, si Tonia ang pinakamaingay at makalat but we don't hold that against her. She's the lioness of our squad, but we also know that she has a soft side. Pero ni isa sa amin ay wala pang nakakakita noon. We love her so much kahit ganyan siya. She still makes us laugh despite us always bullying her. I took a sip from my frappe and then sighed, kaya napatingin sa akin ang tatlo.
"It's so unusual for you to be quiet, Tinay," Lei said na ikinatango ng dalawa. "Is there something wrong between you and Cob?" She worriedly asked. I saw Tonia rolled her eyes.
"Duh! Almost everything is wrong naman sa dalawang 'yan." I chuckled. It's funny how Tonia was able to blatantly voice out something I couldn't. I am just so weakhearted that it annoys me and even my friends.
"I definitely agree." Ace agreed.
"Yeah." Lei agreed too, nodding.
"I second it." I joked and they laughed at me. I shook my head in embarrassment.
"Yo!" Agad kaming nagtinginan sa dumating na si Cob.
Jacob was wearing a plain white t-shirt from Nike, partnered with a pair of black jeans and his screaming Balenciaga shoes. He looked really hot. Well, of course, kahit ano namang suotin n'yan bagay sa kaniya. I surveyed his whole body once again and blushed after. Ugh.
I looked away and saktong napatingin kay Lei na nakatingin din pala sa akin, observing me. She mouthed, "I saw you," and I just rolled my eyes on her. I heard her laughed. Fuck, nakakahiya. Ang tanga mo, Tinay!
"Hi, tubol! Ang tagal mo, ha!" Tonia said and we all laughed. Ang gandang bungad, my God!
"Fuck you, Tonia." Cob, then, raised his middle finger at Tonia. I shook my head again.
"Musta, Cob?" Ace asked, habang matamang tinignan si Cob.
"Broken." He said and then let out a fake laugh.
"Nakausap mo ba, bruh? Paalis na sa Sunday, ah?" Tonia suddenly blurted out and we all look shocked.
"Tonia, what the fuck?" Lei said, eyeing Tonia, telling her to shut her mouth. Mukhang na-realized naman agad ni Tonia kaya agad niyang tinakpan ang bibig. Napailing na lang kaming dalawa ni Ace Hailey.
