Relationship

Pumasok ako nang maaga sa kumpanya. Hindi na rin ako nakapag-breakfast dahil sa pagmamadali ko. I don't know, I just had a feeling that Jacob ... I mean Archt. Mariano would come over again para sunduin ako or whatsoever just like what he's been doing for the past 4 weeks. At sobrang naa-awkward talaga ako.

He would come over every morning to fetch me up. He would bring me breakfast every morning and we would always eat together. He would always drive me home after eating dinner together. Kahit lunch ay magkasama kami. Hindi naman sa ayaw ko siyang kasama. I'm actually the happiest kapag kasama ko siya pero kasi, parang mali na hinahayaan ko 'to instead of keeping my distance. I feel like I'm taking advantage of him having amnesia and I couldn't help but be guilty about it. Again.

I don't exactly know why everything turned out to this pero wala nang nababanggit ang dad ko tungkol doon. Every time he would see the two of us together, ngingiti na lamang ito like okay na sa kaniya ang nangyayari. I don't really know. I'm confused. Kahit gustuhin ko man ay alam kong hindi pwede. Hindi na pwede because I was the who left him, and he almost died because of me. Mas lalo kong lang nararamdaman na hindi ko nga talaga siya deserve.

So hangga't maaari, hangga't kaya ko pa, I'm going to keep my distance. I will do my best to avoid him at kausapin lang siya kapag tungkol sa trabaho. I can do that, right? Kaya ko naman, 'di ba? Kinaya ko rin naman noon na wala siya, kaya dapat mas kayanin ko ngayon na iwasan siya.

I opened the door of my office and went inside. Ni-lock ko 'yon pagkapasok ko. I walked towards my table and placed all my things there. Umupo ako sa swivel chair ko at mabilis na binuksan ang computer ko. I decided to read some articles regarding blueprints para na rin ma-refresh ang mga pinag-aralan ko noong college.

I was in the middle of reading and taking down notes when I heard the door of my office opened. I sighed and stood up and I immediately saw Archt. Mariano leaning against the door. His eyes were screaming disappointment. He was pouting habang hawak hawak ang dalawang supot with a McDonald's print on them.

"You left so early," he said. I nodded and sighed before walking towards him.

I pushed him away from the door para isarado 'yon at i-lock. Kinuha ko sa kaniya 'yong dala niyang pagkain at nilapag 'yon sa coffee table. Sumunod naman agad siya at padabog na umupo sa couch. I arched a brow as I witnessed his behavior regressing into that of a child.

"You did not even wait for me," he complained and crossed his arms against his chest. Hindi ko na napigilan ang pagtawa nang mahina. Pinagtaasan niya ako ng kilay at nagawa pa akong irapan.

"Sorry," I said, chuckling softly. He did not respond, though. He remained glaring at me.

Umupo na rin ako sa couch malapit sa kaniya at sinimulan nang ilabas lahat ng pagkain na dala niya. He just watched me do the work hanggang sa hindi niya na kayanin ang hindi pag pansin sa akin. He helped me fix our foods and even prepared mine before his. It made me smile a little. However, his little gestures reminded me of our memories from the past which made my chest tighten a bit.

He gave me my food and began preparing his. I ate the food he gave me while watching him prepares his own. He was carefully opening the container of his gravy and carefully sauced it on his rice.

"Are you perhaps avoiding me?" He suddenly asked which made me almost choke on my food. He handed me a glass of water, so I took it and ininom 'yon.

"No, why?" I asked him, smiling faintly. "Why would I even do that?"

Pinagtaasan niya ako ng kilay. "Exactly," he sighed before continuing. "Why would you do that?" His backfire caught me off-guard.

I pursed my lips and drank again before talking. "I just don't want anyone from work misunderstand our relationship, Archt. Mariano," I explained. I saw him scoffed in disbelief.
