Trust

"Are you sure you're okay now?" Kendrick asked and I just nodded.

Nandito kami ngayon sa Starbucks malapit sa Flores Hospital. It's already 11PM and fortunately 24/7 ang Starbucks na 'to. Gustong gusto ko nang umalis sa lugar na 'yon kanina pa. Just the thought of me being on the same building as those two breaks my heart. Hindi ko talaga kinaya. Sobrang sakit.

"Thank you, Ken," I said then smiled faintly. He nodded and inilapit pa sa akin 'yong donut niya. I arched a brow because of what he did.

"You can eat it," he said and smiled. I smiled as well at kinain na rin 'yon. I was really starving. Nakakagutom pa lang umiyak. At nakakapagod.

I took a sip from my brewed coffee and then sighed. It was relaxing, the coffee and the ambiance, I mean. Somehow, I felt okay. Kahit konti lang, ayos na rin. Kaysa naman sa hindi, 'di ba? Okay na rin 'to.

"Sorry to bother you, Ken," I apologized, and I saw him shook his head while chuckling.

"Don't say that, Martina," he said and immediately looked away before continuing. "You were never a bother to me," he gently scratched the tip of his nose, getting embarrassed. I smiled.

"Thank you," I said which made him look at me. He smiled and then nodded.

Kendrick is a really nice guy. The person he would love the most is definitely blessed and lucky to have him. I hope that someday he would meet that person and be happy because that's what he deserves. To be happy with the person that he loves and loves him the most.

I watched him took a sip from his coffee. His face has these soft features that would totally make you think that he's a soft guy and he really is. He has thick eyebrows which perfectly matched his hazel brown eyes. His nose is in perfect shape and his jaw is very defined. A very soft and kissable lips. His dimples were also perfect. Every time he would smile, a lot of people would really look at him just to see how matched his dimples were with his smiles.

Agad naman akong nakaramdam ng hiya nang tumingin na siya ulit sa akin. I smiled awkwardly and I saw him chuckled.

"What happened, Martina?" He suddenly asked which made me look away.

"Nothing. I was just being dramatic," I said, didn't want to say the truth.

"Okay. I won't force you to say anything to me but let me just remind you that I am always here. You can count on me, okay?" For some reason, his words brought me comfort.

I'm glad that I found a friend in Kendrick.

12AM when we decided to go home. Hinatid ako ni Kendrick hanggang sa unit ko. I was trying to get my keys when Kendrick pulled me to a hug. I blinked twice because of shock. I couldn't move.

"You'll be okay," he said while tapping my back, comforting me at napatango na lang ako.

"Thank you," I said, and he just patted my head. He moved away and then smiled, gesturing me to go inside already. I smiled and turned to open the door. Pumasok na ako and I saw Kendrick walking away.

I closed the door and took my shoes off. I was shocked when I turned because I saw Jacob leaning against the bar counter. I met his eyes, screaming darkness. He was mad, I was sure of it.

"Y-you're here," I stuttered because of fear. Fear that he might break up with me. The thought made me look away. I shouldn't be thinking that dahil baka magkatotoo.

"Where were you?" He asked me the very same question I asked him the other day.

"Out," I simply said. I was about to pass by him para makainom ng tubig sa kitchen, but he suddenly grabbed my wrist, making me face him. I met his eyes again and halos malunod ako because of his gaze.
