A few days had passed and now it was a slow marathon to valentines day. To begin with everyone was pretty calm, however you suddenly saw an increase in snide comments, competition, flat out rudeness and tension. You were now sick of it. So were the girls. It was coming up to the end of the day and you were walking with Namine until Zack jogged up to you.
"Hey {Name}! S'up Nam." He said cheerily, Namine gave him a small smile and you nodded slightly. "You two okay?" He asked, you both nodded silently and he ran his hand through his hair uncomfortably. "So, listen are you coming to watch the practice?" 
You pursed your lips together and shook your head.
"Sorry Zack, I don't think so. But I'm sure you guys will have fun." You gave him a smile and placed your hand on his shoulder. "See you at school tomorrow." You said quietly, you began to walk passed him. "Come on Namine." You whispered, Zack turned to watch you go. Namine linked her arm with yours and the two of you headed back to yours. Zack stayed still, a sad sigh leaving his lips.
"Yo, so did you ask her?" Tidus stopped next to him, Zack shook his head. "Sorry bud... come on we've got practice. You can ask her again later." Tidus said as he dragged Zack with him towards the gym.

Valentines day. The most dreaded day in any school kids life. This year in particular, the girls weren't ready for the tension that would be brewing today from the boys, if the week had been any indication at all. They had made it to the gates and the guys were already there. 
"Oh great." Paine moaned, Yuna rubbed her back.
"Don't be like that. I'm sure it'll be fine." She reassured her, Yuffie yawned loudly.
"I doubt it." She said, Kairi nodded.
"They've been a nightmare all week and at home? Well I'm ready to kill Axel and Reno." She huffed, Namine squeezed her hand as they continued to walk towards their friends.
"I'm sure it'll be okay. The seniors need to focus on their exams coming up."
"Ha!" Rikku laughed, "they can barely concentrate, it's so sad." She whined, Aqua rolled her eyes and pushed her forward.
"Come on now, they're our friends, smiles please." She said, Xion crossed her arms over her chest.
"Well, this might sound bad but I haven't heard from {Name}..." She said, Olette tapped her chin.
"Come to think of it, Hayner did mention she wasn't feeling well." She blushed as the girls all cooed.
"I hope Hayner says something to you today." Luna smiled brightly,
"Not only that there may not be any problems if {Name} isn't in." Serah said, her eyes widened "I do want her in! But her feelings won't get hurt if she comes to school." She added, Vanille ruffled Serah's hair.
"I totally get what you mean! She's safer at home."
"But we still have to deal with them." Paine remarked, they all stopped in front of the guys, they all said their helloes when Genesis stepped forward.
"Is {Name}, not with you?" He asked, the girls froze as the boys all glared at one another.
"Nope. She's home in bed ill." Hayner said as he appeared behind everyone. "now. Get to class!" He yelled, everyone laughed but made their way into the school, for a extra long day of antics.

"Oh yeah?" Ven began, Riku frowned. "Just because your president and popular with every girl in the school doesn't mean she likes you as well." Ven said. Olette and Hayner rolled their eyes as they watched their friends argue. 
"Why does it even matter? Do you hate that I'm more popular than you?" Riku asked, Ven's eyes widened. Olette sighed and rested her head on Hayner's shoulder, until her head shot up and she pointed to behind Riku and Ven. Hayner's eyes widened as they watched a teddy bear creep up with pies in its hands. The teddy bear stopped and Hayner cleared his throat. Riku and Ven looked at him with anger.
"What?!" They both said, Hayner didn't respond as he just pointed behind them. They turned to come face to face with the teddy bear who launched the pies at their faces. Olette began to giggle as Hayner dropped to the floor laughing. The teddy bear danced and held a pose before running away, Ven and Riku were stood in silent amazement before they two started to laugh.
"Okay, we're being idiotic." Riku said, Ven nodded.
"Yeah, listen I'm just on edge. Sorry, but damn we'd best get cleaned up." He said, Riku nodded.
"Alright, let's go. That bear is going to extremes to prank us." He mused, Ven laughed and the two headed off leaving Olette and Hayner to laugh to themselves.
