Riku
"Riku?" You tilt your head to the side as you lean against your door. He glanced down at you and smiled slightly.
"Hey, are you busy today?" He asked, you shook your head. "Good, want to go grab some food with me?" He asked, causing your eyes to widen in surprise. You reached for your bag and shoes before putting them on and taking his hand before closing the door behind you.
"You're eager." Riku noted, you blushed slightly and nudged him with your hip.
"And you're not?" You mused, he cleared his throat and ran his hand through his hair.
"You got me." He said softly, you smiled and you moved closer to Riku as you headed towards a small beach side restaurant. You walked in and he led you to a table with a view of the beach. He held out the chair for you and you sat down, he pushed you in before sitting opposite.
"What would you like?" You asked, you both flicked through the menu, still chatting as you looked until you picked the chicken wraps and lemonade as Riku picked a spicy pizza and a coke. The waiter came over and Riku ordered for the two of you, the waiter nodded and left as you two began chatting, enjoying each others company.
"After that accident mum was not allowed to leave his room. So we all misbehaved, I think we gave Nyx and Fran a heart attack and drove the staff nuts that week." You laughed, Riku chuckled you had been telling stories of the castle and your family when suddenly a voice snapped you both out of your conversation.
"SIS?!" Hayner's voice filled the restaurant and you both turned to see him with Olette who was shaking her head. Riku exhaled.
"Damn.." He said. Olette held on to Hayner's arm as he stomped towards the two of you. "What?!" He glanced at Riku who gave him a small smile, Hayner glanced back at you "What!" He glanced at Olette "what?" He continued, Olette shook her head and you gave a small sigh.
"Don't make a scene." You murmured, Hayner pulled over two chairs and sat down eyes fixed on Riku as you and Olette exchanged pleasantries before turning your attention to Hayner.
"So. Riku. Golden President. Whatcha plans?" He said drumming his fingers on the table. Riku rolled his eyes and sat up as you rested your head on Olette's shoulder. Your food arrived and Hayner glanced at it he turned to the waiter.
"Cheese burger for me and a coke and for Olette can she have calzone with a strawberry milkshake please." He instructed, the waiter nodded and hurried off. You glanced at Riku and gave him a smile before digging into your food. Riku sighed knowing he wasn't going to be eating any time soon.
"You want to know my intentions? Well, I like your sister. I have since I first met her and I know how protective you are Hayner, I would be pretty happy if you'd be okay, with me trying to win her heart." Riku said, Olette let out a squeal and you blushed. Hayner raised his eyebrow and reached forward stealing a slice of pizza. He chomped down on it and the three of you stared at your brother.
"Riku, I like you. You're a good friend. You are so much smarter than her and can do so much better." He began, you frowned slightly and Olette and Riku chuckled. "Yet here we are. But you both know what will happen if you actually date." He said, you glanced at the table and Riku sighed. "I'm not saying my sister isn't worth it... cause she's pretty awesome. But before you get serious... please just remember you are friends first and foremost." He leant back in the chair and closed his eyes, Olette smiled and took a sip of your drink as you and Riku exchanged glances.
"I know." He said,
"Yeah..." You glanced at your brother and he opened his eyes giving you a half smile before clapping his hands together as their food arrived.
"Well with that settled let's eat!" He said, Olette nodded smiling.
"This is such a good restaurant! Oh did you hear the next basketball match is against the pirates! It'll be so cool!" She gushed, Hayner nodded in agreement as you laughed.
"That sounds so cool! Oh Olli you'll have to come over for a sleepover soon!" You said. Whilst you were all chatting happily Riku watched you, before glancing at Hayner who gave him a slight nudge on his forearm and a smile. At least Hayner wasn't opposed to him pursuing his sister, which in his eyes was the highest form of acceptance from one of his closest friends.
