You begin to make your way out of the water, leaving Xion to head out to sea, you shake your arms trying to dry as you spot Olette in the distance, you begin to jog over to her.
"Hey Olette," You hug her from behind and she laughs turning to hug you back. "How are you?"
"Pretty good, how are you?" She asks as she let you go, you nodded enthusiastically as you watched a couple of the guys run across the sand in a race, Kairi laughed before heading over to you.
"Hey!" She hopped up onto the picnic table you were stood next to. "I can't believe summer is almost over." She whined, Olette nodded as you folded your arms watching Zack cheer happily winning the race. Someone poked your shoulder, the three of you turn around and spot a blushing Namine as she hugged you before sitting on the picnic table bench laying her notebook out beside where Kairi was sitting.
"And then back to school. It should be more fun this time." She says dreamily, before she started to sketch. You give her a small smile as Kairi holds back her hair from blowing in the breeze.
"I hope so Namine." She replies, Olette rested her arm on your shoulder as you could see the sun beginning to go down.
"I should find my brother." You groan a little, as the girl's smile at you.
"Say hi to Hayner when you find him." Olette said smiling you give her a nod as you start to walk away. You waved good bye to the three girls' as you went to look for your brother.
"{Name} over here!" You turn to the sound of Aqua's voice, she was stood on the pier waving at you. Smiling you jog over.
"Hi Aqua, Luna, Iris, Vanille... and, hi?" You trail off once you had hugged the girls, Iris stepped towards the newcomer and smiled.
"This is my brother Gladiolus, Gladi this is {Name} Hayner's sister!" Iris explained, you shake his hand and he gives a nod. You step back next to Aqua who grinned a little as Luna linked her arm with yours.
"So {Name} did you enjoy the boat ride over?" She asked softly,
"yeah, you guys have an awesome island!" You exclaim, Vanille nodded a little as Aqua giggled raising her hand to her mouth cutely.
"Well, is it better than your home?" She asked as she wrapped an around your neck.
"A little I guess," You began to think of home until Gladiolus poked your forehead.
"What's with the frown? So, are you in my sisters' year?"
You swatted his hand away laughing slightly, as you glance at Iris who gave you thumbs up.
"Yeah I am, what about you?"
"College." He mused, you pouted a little,
"That sucks."
"Hmm." He responds not taking his eyes off you as you continue to talk to Iris, as Luna and Aqua exchange a knowing look. Suddenly the whole gang dashed over laughing and cheering, Yuffie bounding up and down in front of you.
"Who's up for some volleyball mon?" Wakka stated patting your back, the boys cheered loudly as Luna took your hand in hers pulling you along. Within a few minutes you had all been divided, Wakka's team consisted of, you, Olette, Ven, Terra, Sora, Riku, Cloud, Yuffie, Reno, Zack, and Genesis. Whilst Tidus' team were Hayner, Pence, Roxas, Axel, Xion, Aqua, Leon, Paine, Gladiolus, Noctis, and Rikku. On the side lines cheering were Kairi, Namine, Demyx, Rikku, Yuna, Vanille, Luna, Zexion, and Iris. Whilst Prompto started taking photos. Everyone took their places and you spied your brother staring smirking opposite you, you give him a wave and he rolls his eyes as Wakka throws the first ball up and knocks over the net, returning serve was Tidus who batted back, Ven dove to the sand hitting it to Sora who knocked it to Yuffie who spiked the ball over. Leon hit the ball, to Rikku who slipped knocking the ball backwards, Hayner ran backwards laughing before jumping up and spiked it back. Everyone gasped as the ball headed to you, you stopped and squinted before whacking the ball over. The side lines began hollering in excitement as the ball zoomed passed a confused Roxas, you blinked smiling a little as the ball hit the sand.
"Point for Wakka's team!" Vanille cheered, Roxas scratched the back of his head as Hayner ran to him scolding him as your team ran to you embracing you.
"That was amazing!" Olette gushed, Reno smacked your back hard.
"That's one way of putting it." He smirked, you chuckled a little as everyone complimented you.
"I don't like losing to my brother." You said sheepishly, Ven smirked pushing you back into place.
"Neither do I. So, thanks." As the next round began.
