A few hours later, after talking to practically everyone, you find yourself slumping onto the bench beside Kairi, she gives you a small nudge and you smile at her.
"Hey,"
"hey yourself." She said smiling watching the party go on, "are you glad you moved here?" She asks quietly, as you both watch Sora extravagantly tell a story causing the group to laugh every so often.
"Yeah, I'm glad I did." You reply softly, Kairi smiled brightly before giving your hand a squeeze.
"We're glad you did too! More excitement to our small island." She giggled a little until there's a loud crash. Kairi's head shot up and she turned to the glass door, it had been slammed open. "Oh god." She hissed, you frown as you watch a girl with curly brown hair step out into the yard. Reno and Axel by this point had headed over, she glanced around as her eyes bore into you. Your eyes slowly widened as she pushed past Axel and Reno. Kairi let go of your hand and bit her lip.
"Don't make a scene... don't make a scene..." She whispered as the girl stopped in front of you with her hands on her hips. "Selphie, what can I do for you?" Kairi spoke up standing to her feet. You glance around as you spot Roxas and Axel in a small argument as Selphie stopped in front of Kairi.
"I was just on my way over to the party, and everyone is talking about a newbie? Is she attractive or something?" Selphie asked, Kairi blinked and pursed her lips together thinking of a good response as you sat there gawking at her.
"Uh, she's really nice..."
"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" She hissed, Kairi licked her bottom lip.
"I- well, you know we haven't actually spoken in a few months... the only reason you're invited is because we like Vanille..." She said, you stifled a giggle and Selphie's glare turned to you.
"And who are you?" She sneered, as you slowly stand to your feet, you put on your best smile and stick your hand out.
"I'm {Name}, Hayner's sister." You reply calmly, she raises an eyebrow and places her hand on her hip.
"She's not attractive, I'd say she's more like a little slut, you'll be old news by tomorrow." She smirked a little and you tilted your head to the side as you finger twitched.
"Sorry what?" You muttered, she took a step towards you and Kairi fiddled with her hair.
"you heard me." Selphie said, suddenly a hand was on your shoulder and Hayner was directly between the two of you as Cloud stood behind Selphie. You turn your head and Ven was stood there with a small frown. Hayner turned to you and held up a pack of your favourite crisps, your eyes widened a little in confusion. The hand on your shoulder gave you a gentle squeeze before Hayner spoke up.
"Want some? Its soo tasty!" He turned his attention to Selphie "oh hi there, want some?" He asked a small evil smirk on his face, Selphie gave him a disgusted look,
"I did not miss you." She muttered Hayner raised an eyebrow and shoved a crisp into your mouth causing you to hum in approval.
"Feelings pretty mutual." Hayner said glancing at Selphie, her eyes widened in shock before turning on her heels and knocking her hip into Cloud before storming off, she clicked her finger.
"Vanille we're leaving!"
There was a small groan of sadness as all attention turned to Vanille, she tilted her head to the side and gave you a small smile before following Selphie. Hayner stuffed his face full of crisps before laughing a little. You sighed and rubbed your head.
"Hi Cloud, Hayner... you can let go now Ven."
Ven hastily retracted his hand as Cloud gave him a scowl, Hayner sighed.
"Causing trouble already?" He asked, you smacked his arm gently.
"No, I was just fine! Right Kairi?" You smiled at the red head and she grinned back,
"nothing she couldn't handle." Kairi added, Cloud ruffled Kairi's hair and she also swatted his hand away.
"Yeah sure. Alright come on you four let's go." You all nodded and follow the older male as a group gathered around you and Hayner.

Shortly after the incident with Selphie, you had become tired and miserable, so you decided to make your escape, you grabbed your coat and headed out, making a mental note to make Hayner's breakfast since you were abandoning him at the party...
