You had woken up to the sound of cupboards being slammed. You groaned and glanced at the time before slowly getting yourself ready. The noise could wait. You showered, got dressed and you wandered down the stairs to see Xion, Kairi, Namine and Olette.
"Morning." You said, Xion waved her hand around.
"Less talk more eating!" She said loudly, you shook your head and took the bowl of cereal from Namine.
"Okay, where's the boys?" You asked, Olette smiled at you and sipped her drink.
"We sent them all on their way, we wanted to walk with you." She said happily you put the spoon in your mouth.
"Because we have something to talk about." Kairi said. You swallowed your cereal and put another mouthful in your mouth.
"We believe you weren't listening yesterday but Xigbar mentioned that it is tryouts soon. So, we wanted to see if you wanted to join any teams with us? Well some of us." She said, eyeing a blushing Namine. You swallowed again before responding.
"Sure. Sounds like fun." You said smiling, Xion jumped happily into the air as you placed the bowl in the sink. "Alright come on, time for school." You said and the four of you left to go to school.

"Morning dudes and dudettes." Xigbar said as you all walked out into the gym. You glanced around and spotted two benches on either side of the gym. "Today we have tryouts for benchball. I hope to see as many of you, young dudettes there." He glanced over at Xion who smiled happily at him, you chuckled and ruffled her hair, she swatted you away laughing quietly to herself. "Alright so that means today. You'll be playing benchball." He began to walk to grab a ball as a couple of boys began to groan in annoyance.
"Hey {Name}," Terra said as he jogged up to you,
"hi Terra!" You beamed, he gave you a smile as Kairi latched onto your arm.
"Alright the teams are as follows. Have fun." He said he held up his clipboard and you all got ready to play a game of benchball.

You made it to English and you sat down, hoping for the class to be over quickly. All day you, Kairi and Xion had been getting excited for tryout and doing something competively. Rikku bounded in with Zack, Axel and Reno following.
"Mornin' beautiful!" Axel said happily, you frowned but felt your lips tugging into a smile.
"You're in a good mood."
"We had a sub instead of Vexen today." He shrugged his shoulders and you nodded in understanding. Rikku waved her hand in front of your face and you turned around to her.
"So you heard benchball try outs are today!" She squealed, Zack rolled his eyes and pushed her forehead away from you.
"It's not that exciting." He mused, Rikku scoffed as you got out your essay prep.
"It is! It was so much fun and this year we have Xi." She said, Yuffie leant forward from her table.
"Yeah!"
"Please, Benchball is basically dodgeball for girls." Reno mocked, Rikku's eyes blinked fast and you punched Reno lightly on the arm.
"That's mean."
"But its true, got it memorised?" Axel smirked, you shook your head as Paine leant over you slyly, getting close to Axel's face.
"Rumour has it {Name} is signing up." She said coyly, the boys blinked and glanced over at you. You gave them a wave and smiled. Axel clasped his hands together and glanced over at Rikku.
"Where do we sign up?" He said with a straight face, Paine shook her head.
"So lame." She said walking back to her seat as Yuffie blew a raspberry and turned around in her seat as Luxord walked in. You giggled and began to get to work on your project, still very excited for benchball.

The end of the day had arrived and Kairi tackled you, babbling excitedly. Hayner shook his head in disbleif.
"Well I guess I'll see you at home. I'm gonna hang out with Roxas." He said, you nodded waving him off as Kairi dragged you towards the changing room, still babbling. Roxas walked up to Hayner.
"Girls are so weird." Hayner muttered, Roxas smirked and ruffled Hayner's hair.
"But they are charming." He mused, Hayner scoffed and the two walked off.

You had met up with the others and you were now stood in gym facign Larxene, and one very familiar friends.
"Hi soon to be team." Larxene laughed, "this is your coach. Today we wanna see you work together, see who can get us a win this year." She said folding her arms. "This is Lightning. Be good to her, she was a pretty decent student." She added, Lightning smirked.
"You got this girls. See you in a bit." Larxene said smirking and she disappeared. Lightning rolled her eyes.
"Alright! Start running! Ten sprints back and forth go!" She ordered blowing the whistle. You blinked before sprinting off with Xion in tow.

"Nicely done girls." Lightning said as you slowed to a stop and bent over panting heavily. Lightning smirked as she threw a coloured wrist band at half of you.
"Now we're gonna get straight into the game. Your try out will depend whether you make it on the team or not. You'll find out in a few weeks time and we'll also be announcing the tournament. So go out there, have fun and hope to see you on the team." She blew the whistle and you started the match.

"Well that was exhausting." You muttered as you walked along the road with Olette, Kairi, and Xion.
"Totally! But totally worth it! I had so much fun!" Kairi said happily, you nodded in agreement.
"But can you believe how amazing Paine, Rikku and Yuffie are? They're so fast and strong." Olette commented, Xion let out a sigh.
"Better than me." She moaned, you nudged her lightly in the arm.
"No way! You were keeping up with them better than any of us! Besides you know Xigbar has been pushing you to join for weeks and you and Yuffie made a sick team." You gushed, Kairi clasped her hands together.
"And you may not have been watching but Lightning was so impressed, I'm pretty sure she was texting Tifa about how good you were! Tifa is going to be so proud of you!" She added, Xion found herself turning red.
"Wow, thanks you guys! You're the best! Anyway this is me! I'll see you tomorrow! Night!" She gave you all hugs and jogged to her door. Olette smiled as you three walked on.
"How she can still run is beyond me."
"I know right, but do you think we'll make the team?" Kairi asked, you slowed to a stop by her house.
"Of course! We were awesome too! Just gotta believe in yourself!" You cheered, Kairi giggled before giving you a hug and waved you goodbye.
"Have a good rest! See ya!" She walked to her door and you and Olette headed to hers.
"Thanks for walking me home." She said, you shook your head.
"It was nothing." You mused, she nodded before folding her arms over her chest.
"Hey, {Name}... I was wondering, would you... find it weird if I went out with Hayner? Truthfully..." She mumbled, you smirked and placed both your hands on her shoulders.
"Olette, you can date him. I don't know why you want to, he isnt' that cool." You teased causing her to laugh she wrapped her arms around your neck and hugged you tightly. "But if he hurts you, I'll hurt him don't you worry." You winked as she pulled away from you. She nodded and gave you a wave as you jogged away from her.
"See you later {Name}!" She called as you hurried to your house.
