After the 11th the week had gone by pretty slowly. You and your brother cooked, you almost burning down the house. The girls had come over for pampering and movies to which your brother bolted out the door and headed to Roxas' for the night. You had also managed to clean your room properly. Nyx and Fran had done the garden and you had done some summer work ready for senior year.

August 21st Wednesday, you felt in the air something was wrong and you were right.
"Why are you here?!" Hayner yelled, you walked slowly to the top of the stairs to see Balthier and Seifer stood at the door. Nyx had suddenly appeared.
"Hayner! What have I said about manners?!" He yelled, Hayner flinched and you stayed quiet at the top of the stairs. Balthier bowed slightly.
"Nyx, I have come with a request from the mayor." He said, Fran suddenly appeared and clasped her hands together.
"Oh wonderful! Do come on in." She ushered, Seifer and Balthier in, Nyx grabbed hold of Hayner who looked like he wanted to throttle Seifer who followed quietly behind the older woman into the living room. Nyx closed the door and let go of Hayner.
"Behave. Or so help me Hayner I will put you over my knee and spank your ass." He ground out, Hayner pursed his lips together into a thin line, contemplating whether Seifer was worth Nyx's wrath. You watched intently wondering which your brother would pick. He let out an exasperated sigh and placed his hands behind his back before making his way into the living room.
"Fine. I'll behave." He muttered, Nyx rolled his eyes and followed Hayner. You stayed still for a few minutes before sneaking down the stairs, listening in to the conversation.
"I'll be frank. The reason we are here today is because the mayor would like to start over. So he has made a reservation for the princess and Seifer for tonight." Balthier explained, you could hear Hayner snort in derision, followed by a yelp of pain.
"I see... is this because of the drama show?" Nyx asked Balthier cleared his throat.
"I believe so yes, Seifer would also like to start over. Isn't that right?"
"Come on like he'd ever! He's my nemesis- ow!"
You giggled at Hayner getting clipped up the ear again.
"You're wrong Hayner." Seifer's voice snapped you out of your giggles and you listened closer "Yeah, we're- whatever this weird status is- but I am sorry and I do want to start over."
"With my sister." Hayne retorted, Seifer sighed and you shifted slightly so your back was against the wall.
"Hayner you are such a brat!" Seifer yelled, Balthier cleared his throat and Nyx sighed. "But he is being so difficult." Seifer ground out.
"Yeah because she's my sister! I've had enough of you, Selphie, those kidnappers my friends! All wanting something from her! I don't want her getting hurt!" Hayner shouted, your eyes widened in surprise and you brought your knees up to your chest. "I don't care what any of you say, Seifer if you hurt my sister I will hurt you! No amount of bodyguards is going to stop me. She means everything to me. She's my twin. I want her to be happy, I really do but right now I'm all she's got on Destiny Island and I failed her once already. So can you all just try and understand that?" He stopped talking and you wiped your eyes, silence came from the room and you got up and tiptoed back to the stairs.
"I promise you Hayner, I'm starting over with {Name}, and in time you and your friends." Seifer finally responded, Hayner let out a groan.
"Yeah, alright." He said, you decided this was your time so you ran down the stairs and bounced into the living room, everyone stopped talking and turned to you.
"So am I going to dinner or what?" You asked, causing Fran to smile and Hayner to shake his head with a small smile on his lips. Seifer nodded,
"if that's okay with you?" He asked, you nodded.
"Yeah, let's start over." You mused, a wave of heat rushing through your body as Seifer smiled at you.

"Well... this is fancy." You mused, Seifer nodded slightly before opening the door and letting you in. "Not awkward at all..." You muttered as Seifer followed you through, you stopped at the desk and a man appeared.
"A reservation was made under the mayor." Seifer said, the man nodded and grabbed to menus before leading you both to a table. The waiter put down the menus on the table as Seifer held out the chair, you sat down and he pushed you in before taking his seat.
"Can I get you both a drink?" The waiter asked, you glanced up at him and smiled.
"Please can I have a lemonade please." You said politely causing the waiter to smile. Seifer blinked watching you before clearing his throat and looking at the waiter.
"Uh, same please." He added, the waiter nodded.
"Thank you." You said as he walked away you turned to Seifer. "you seem nervous?" You said as you leant your elbows on the table and rested you chin on your palm. Seifer shook his head.
"I just don't want to screw this up. I said I wanted to start over, with all of you." He said, you smiled brightly.
"You're doing fine. So, do you know what you want to eat?" You asked, flicking to the menu, Seifer kept looking at you. "I think I'll go for the calzone, Olette keeps going on about it so it must be good! Oh and we definitely have to share the colossal ice cream sundae!" You babbled on until you realised Seifer wasn't talking. You glanced up and his eyes widened.
"Sorry! It's just- you're incredible." He said, your eyes widened and you felt your cheeks flush.
"Oh. Thank you." You said, the two of you glanced at the menus awkwardly.
"{Name}." He said, you glanced up at him. "Thank you." He said sincerely, the two of you gazed at each other a little longer until the waiter appeared with your drinks.
"What can I get you?"
You both snapped out of your thoughts.
"Oh uh! I'll have the spaghetti carbonara He glanced at you and you pointed to the food.
"I'll have a calzone." You answered. The waiter nodded and disappeared again, Seifer leant closer and you blushed.
"So, what's it like being a royal?" He asked, you tilted your head to the side.
"Oh the stories I could tell you." You mused, he chuckled.
"Well I'm all ears."
