You definitely feel more at peace with your emotions. You decide you'll continue playing along and eventually get closer to Kaiden. It's Monday though, so you have to get ready to go to school.

Hey! Skate with us to school?

You receive a text from Roxy, you decide to go, even though you'll have to see Harley. It's not like you are angry at her, but it might be slightly awkward. Since you walked in on her, and Blake and you are still not in the best of terms. You leave the house barely escaping you mother.

Quite surprisingly, the ride to school wasn't that awkward. Harley told you that whatever was going on with you and Blake wasn't going to get in between your friendship.

"Oh also, I'm sorry you had to see us making out... might've been a bit dumb to leave the door unlocked"

You all laugh it off as you arrive to school, as usual Zack's already there and greets you with a kind smile.

The day goes on normally, except for Blake's passive aggressiveness. After school you all agree to go down to the beach to watch Kai and Roxy surf and just have a fun time.

It was usual now for Kaiden to hang out with you so you expect to see him at the beach. Therefore you are surprised that you can't find him. But you aren't too worried, you just want to have a good time. Your best friend and her brother go into the salty water while the rest of you remain in the sand and order some drinks. It feels great to be so relaxed again, you all play some beach volleyball and go for a swim.

As golden hour comes you spot Kaiden.

"Oh hey! You're late what happened?" you ask.

"Nothing much, had to get some shit done at home..."

Something seems off, though you can't work out what it is.

"To the end of summer!" Kaiden says.

Everyone replies with laughs and cheers, it is basically always summer in California.

You make your way back home since it is a school night and your mom would kill if you came back late. When you get to bed you are exhausted, but the good kind of exhausted, the kind you get after a really fun time.
