Skating through love

Naïve

The week goes by and nothing much happens. You hang out with the squad and the situation with Blake doesn't progress, though now you have to put up with all the pda. Even if you don't have feelings for him it's a bit annoying. He'll be kissing Harley on the hallways but doesn't let you kiss someone at a party. Towards the end of the week Kaiden invites you to go skate at the park.

"Are you coming?" Roxy asks.

"No actually, Imma hang out with Kaiden at the skate park."

"Oooooh, a date? You go girl"

"Hahahaha I don't think it is a date, I need a favor though, please?"

"Yeah of course, what is it?"

"Please don't let Blake know..."

"Sure, you're still not talking then?"

"Nah"

You are actually excited to have some alone time with Kaiden, specially now that Blake will be nowhere near. You get there and he's already waiting.

"Hey, princess, ready for some skating?"

You practice some tricks and just cruise around the neighborhood. You two have a really fun time and end up sitting together watching the sunset. You notice how much you actually enjoy Kaiden's company. He grabs your waist and you feel yourself blush slightly. You chat for a while and as it gets cooler he puts his jacket around your shoulders.

"You know, I have really started liking you, princess."

He gets you totally off guard.

"Oh, really?" You say awkwardly.

He looks amused

"Oh you are so very naïve, princess. Anyways, you should go, mommy wouldn't like you out too late would she?" He says in a mocking tone, you role your eyes

"Alright then, have you gotten responsible all of a sudden?"

He smirks and hugs you goodbye, the scent of his cologne sticks with you all the way home.

"Damn why do boys like playing games?" You think to yourself.

So does he really like you or not?

"I shouldn't get my hopes up, he probably just wants a good time... Nothing serious."

You ask the girls' what they think. They say it is definitely an improvement, but tell you not to have high expectations.

"He doesn't really do serious relationships" Ella said.

"But why is it that everyone says he is some kind of player? Do they have any proof?" You ask yourself...
