Everyone is together at Kai and Roxy's house. Ella is trying to comfort everyone, Zack's listening to music, Roxy just brought some snacks from the kitchen and Blake is restlessly trying to figure out what could have happened to Kaiden. You grab some chips as not to be rude, but you don't have much of an apetite.
"Blake, don't waste your energy trying to figure out what happened." Comes Harley's voice. "The police is on it, I'm sure it'll be ok."
Blake sits down but you can tell his mind is still far away from that room. As the shock wears off you feel guilt wash over you. What if you should've noticed something was wrong?
"Hey, don't beat yourself up, it's not your fault." Blake whispers, as if reading your mind.
None of you slept that night, your mind is too troubled. You dread the morning, the last thing you want to do is explain what happened that evening to your parents.
It's barely 6 a.m. when your phone starts ringing. Unknown number.
"Hello?" Everyone looks at you anxiously.
"Good morning, California police department, am I talking to Miss Wood?"
"Yes, that's me." You reply.
"We have found a not identified unconscious individual at the beach, we need you to come in and see if you recognize him." You look at your friends wide eyed.
"Yes, of course. I'll be there as soon as possible."
"Thank you." He hangs up.
"Do you think they found him?" Kai asks.
"I don't know... We'll have to go and see." You answer.
You get your skateboards and go out into the cool California humidity. The sun has just risen and the streets are completely empty. You arrive at the police station quite quickly and are greeted by the same officer who interrogated you.
"If you would follow me please." He takes you to a small room with some nurses in it. "Here he is."
