Forged signatures

The days drag on, and you slowly start to feel better even though you are still pretty much in love with Kaiden.

"Lilah, let's go the lesson just finished!" It's Roxy's voice.

You were daydreaming in class again, you had also just gotten your first "F" in a long time.

"Shit! Dad is gonna kill me." You think to yourself.

You don't see your father much, he leaves early and gets home late so you were never close. However he prides himself on your grades so he'll probably freak out when he finds out you got an "F".

It's lunchtime and as usual you don't see Kaiden. The teachers have told you he is sick and you don't worry much since it's easier if he isn't there.

"We were planning on going to Kaiden's to see how he's doing, you wanna come?" Ella asks.

"I'll pass." You answer, she nods understandingly.

That day after school you go home alone while the others go visit Kaiden.

"Hi sweetie! Guess who managed to come home from work early?" Your father is standing in the kitchen, a huge smile on his face.

"Oh, hi!" You say trying to sound enthusiastic.

"How did your maths test go? I bet you aced it!"

"I haven't gotten it back yet actually." You lie. "Anyways, I have some homework to do so..." You leave the room.

You can't let your father see your test, no way. You decide to forge his signature on the actual test and with some photoshop action you'll have a perfect copy except it'll look like you got top marks.

You actually do have some homework to do, so you start to work on that. You haven't been paying attention in any classes, so the assignments turn out to be harder than you thought and you end up spending the whole afternoon completing them.

You are interrupted by your phone ringtone. Roxy. You pick up.

"Hey, what's u-"

"DELILAH GET HERE RIGHT NOW!" Your best friend interrupts you, she sounds worried.

"What, why? What happened?" You ask really confused.

"JUST GET HERE!" She's still shouting. "NOW!"

She hangs up.
