Just a game

"Oh hey, yeah sorry I just disappeared, my parents would've killed me." You say quickly turning around.

Kaiden sits besides you and puts his arm around your waist. You put your head on his shoulder and you can smell the nice subtle sent of cologne. It feels good to be next to him, you feel safe.

"I wanted to tell you something..." He runs his fingers through your hair. "I don't really know what this is, but I don't really do relationships... I'm sorry."

You don't know what to say, you feel betrayed and your throat is made into a knot.

"I know..." You manage to whisper. "I should go."

You walk a couple steps, then run to the street and get on your board. You go straight home, feeling numb.

"Hi sweetheart!" Your mom greets you.

You run to your room and lock the door. Tears start rolling down your face, you feel stupid, so many people warned you and still you believed in him.

"Blake was right..." You think "I shouldn't have gotten with him in the first place."

He doesn't want relationships :( You text Roxy.

Omg I'm sorry, you deserve better :( She texts you back.

It doesn't really make you feel any better, you were so hopeful that he could change, that all the bad things were rumors... But you just let him break your heart.

"I guess people don't change..." You tell yourself still devastated.

You wonder why you couldn't have fallen for Kai or Zack or someone else, why did it have to be Kaiden. Deep down you knew it wouldn't work, but you wanted it to. You wanted him to love you like you loved him, but it was, after all, just a game.
