Skating through love

The first day of junior year

You wake up to the annoying sound of your alarm. Your head feels heavy, you haven't woken up this early in months. You slowly walk to the bathroom to take a shower. You decide on wearing black ripped jeans and Thrasher t-shirt with some old skool vans. You put your hair in a loose braid and procede to the kitchen. You make yourself some whipped coffee, toast and pick up some fruit. As you finish eating your mum arrives home from her morning run, your dad has already left for work.

"Good morning sweetheart, Roxy's outside waiting for you. Have a nice first day of junior year!"

But you are already heading out the door, you still had to go to Harley's so you could skate to school together.

At the school entrance you, Roxy and Harley meet Zack, he is always the first one there, usually scribbling something on a notebook or sketching. He had his earphones in so he doesn't notice you straight away, but when he does you all walk together to registration. You, Roxy and Zack are in the same tutor group though Harley and Kai are in a different one. When the bell rings, marking the beginning of class, you go your separate ways.

Your first period is English literature Zack takes it too therefore you sit together at the back of the classroom. He doesn't speak much but you can definitely tell he's very interested in the subject. You personally don't take a great liking for books though English literature isn't a very hard subject to pass. Your grades aren't bad but you don't get straight A's by any means. Mostly B's with an occasional A or C.

Your squad only manages to meet altogether at lunchtime, you sit at a table outside. Blake and Ella meet you slightly late due to their history teacher. That's when you notice him, Kaiden Lopez is approaching your table. You become suddenly very interested in your food and avoid both Kaiden's and Blake's gaze. Your face is hot with embarrassment what would Blake think of the events that went down that night? Even though you feel guilty there is also this voice inside of you begging for him to notice you, for him to be with you, for him to kiss you again...

"What's up, Lilah, very quiet today?". Blake snaps you out of your thoughts.

"Huh? What? Oh... I'm- just hungry" You reply through gritted teeth.

You quickly glance at Kaiden, he stares back with a side smirk and you can't help but blush a little.
