"We were told you were quite close to Kaiden Lopez, is that correct?"

You are at the police station, being interrogated about Kaiden. You are still in shock but thankfully you were allowed to take Roxy and Blake with you to the interrogation room.

"Yes, we are quite good friends."

Roxy squeezes your hand encouragingly while Blake remains alert, brows furrowed, carefully listening to every single word the officer says.

"Did he ever show any signs of drug use or mention any desire to use such substances?"

"No..." You croak, shaking. "He never mentioned anything."

"Did Mr. Lopez ever describe what his parents do for a living?"

You freeze as you realize Kaiden never told you anything about his parents. You don't even know their names. Then you remember, the only time he ever said anything about his parents, when he was late to the hang out.

"No..." You say in almost a whisper. "The only time he ever mentioned them... Was when he was late to a hangout, he said that he had to get something done for them..."

You glance at Blake, he's starting to put everything together, you an tell.

"Well, this has obviously been a very traumatic experience for all of you. You can all go home now, we will contact you if we need any other information."

You slowly get up and head for the door, Blake and Roxy right besides you. You meet the rest of your friends back at  the waiting room.

"I think we should stay together for the night." Zack says.

"Our place is free!" Kai offers.

You nod grateful for some company.

"I'll go with you to get some essentials from home." Blake says.

"Oh, thanks but you really don't need to."

"It wasn't a question." He manages to put a faint smile on your face.

So, together, you skate to your house to pick up some stuff.

"Delilah Wood! Where on earth have you been?! And what is this young lady?" Your father is pointing at your maths test.

"Dad I-"

"An F?! This is unacceptable, plus you lied to me. You are in a whole lot of trouble."

"Mr. Wood, I understand that this might be really concerning to you but Delilah has just come back from the police station and we just found out our friend is missing. We are just grabbing some things and leaving to stay the night at Roxy's house, I hope you understand." Blake tells your father.

Your father is left speechless and Blake guides tu to your own bedroom to get some stuff. After that you leave without another word to your parents.
