Midnight calls

After you get home, you drown yourself in homework, trying to keep your mind off Kaiden.

"Hello, sweetie! You came home later than usual, what happened?" Your mum is so overprotective it irritates you.

"I was at Roxy's, mum!" You say in an annoyed tone.

"Why does she need to know everything I do?!" You wonder.

It is currently midnight and you have already finished all your homework. You're watching Netflix since the idea of sleep with so much on your mind seems impossible. Your phone starts to vibrate.

"Roxy?" You wonder aloud. "Oh my god I forgot to call her, shit!"

"Hey, sorry I completely forgot to call you."

"It's all good, so what happened?"

You tell her everything that went down that afternoon and some how she didn't seem shocked at all.

"Well, Kaiden Lopez has history in being extremely flirty and naughty... Anyways who are you planning to take to homecoming?"

"Homecoming? Oh yeah right, uh I guess I'll ask Blake, as a friend."

Homecoming would take place the next weekend, you know Blake and Kaiden are going to be playing for your high school.

"I was planning on asking Zack, as a friend..." Roxy tells you.

"Who's Kai going with?" You ask

"I believe he's going with Ella, he asked Harley first but she already had a date. I wonder who it is?"

The next morning you decide to ask who Harley is going to homecoming with.

"Oh, um, Blake asked me...". She blushes lightly.

"Fuck!" You think "Who the hell am I going to take now, not Kaiden that's for sure."

You spend the whole day trying to think of someone to ask out but all of your friends are taken. You end up deciding to go alone, you'll all be together anyway. You still imagine however what would happen if Kaiden asked you. Would you refuse? A part of you wants to go with him but then you remember what Blake said...
