You aren't very used to partying, last time you went to a real party your parents ended picking you up before midnight. This time you felt more comfortable though, it might be because of Blake's protective presence or maybe that it was daytime. You actually manage to have a great time. You both learn a lot more about the other guests, Roxy taking a special liking for Harley. You eventually put together that all of you are into some kind of skateboarding. Ella owns a penny board and Harley longboards.
You all end up having s'mores around a small fire to the sound of Zack's guitar. You find it quite fascinating how everyone just vibes so well together.
Everyone gets back together multiple times throughout the summer and you get pretty close. On the last day of holiday, you decide to go for a skate and just make the best out of the last weekend before school restarts. You and Blake go down to the skate park together, this is when he warns you there is going to be a new person there (some friend of Kai's).
"He's older than you Lilah so don't get yourself into anything" Blake advises.
"It'll be fine, Blake, don't fuss about it. I'll keep myself out of trouble".
Your best friend has always been quite overprotective of you, even though he is only one year older. Unfortunately this also meant this would be your last year together since Blake would go to uni afterwards.
You get to the park to meet Harley, the only one that has already arrived.
"Yo how's it going?" Harley says while picking up her board.
For the slightest second you believe you see Blake's eyes twinkle. Could it be? Your best friend falling for Harley Atwood?
