You wake up the next morning on the soft guest bed of Ella's house. You feel a tingling sensation in your lips due to kissing the new boy so hard last night. Yesterday's memories start flashing back but it all seems like a dream. You sit up on the bed and stare at the empty guest room. The sunlight struggles to get through the thick curtains. And you still hear his soft, deep voice inside your ear

"...princess...".

You suddenly feel a wave of guilt wash over you, Blake had specifically advised you to not to get yourself self into anything

"...he's older than you Lilah...".

You also realize you don't even know the guy's name.

"Great Delilah, you basically made out with a stranger." You say to yourself.

Finally you gather the energy to get up and move to the kitchen where the other girls are cooking breakfast.

"Good morning!" Says Ella cheerfully

"morning..." you reply.

You start nibbling on some French toast barely eating any at all. Your mind is still racing confused as if you should feel regret or happiness.

"Hey, Lilah, is everything alright?" Roxy's worried voice breaks your trail of thought.

"Oh, yeah I'm good, just tired from last night." You reply. It isn't a lie but it's not the whole truth either.

"So what happened between you and Kaiden last night?" Harley asks.

"Kaiden... so that's his name." You notice that you said this out loud.

"Oh, uh, nothing really, he just wanted to say goodbye."

"Well that was one hell of a goodbye if you ask me." Harley says casually.

You stare at her, how could she possibly know about the kiss?

"What do you mean?" You ask, though you're quite certain of what she means.

"Come on, we know you made out with Kaiden Lopez, I saw him leaving a bit later, he looked oddly satisfied for just a goodbye."

You can't come up with anything good to say so you take a bite of French toast.

"That's some dirty business you're getting into... He hasn't dated anyone since his girlfriend dumped him in his sophomore year. He was devastated, didn't talk for months. I believe he really did love her and though he seems strong and brave his demons still chase him around."

It's hard to believe that the same dominant guy you kissed last night didn't talk for months after a breakup, it just doesn't fit.
