Laying in front of you is the motionless body of a man around his thirties. You fill with excitement for a moment, as you look at the familiar fluffy hair, but as fast as it came, the excitement vanishes.
"It isn't him..." You sigh.
The man stirs slightly and the nurses immediately attend to him. His senses seem to have started to come back to him.
"We also found some objects with him, do you recognize any of these?" The police officer points at a scrap of paper, a flash light and, your heat skips.
"This is Kaiden's chain!" You gasp.
The officer thanks you but once again you leave the headquarters with no progress whatsoever.
"We have to do something." Blake blurts out as soon as you are out of ear shot.
"What can we thought?" Harley asks.
"Don't you see? Couple years ago, Kaiden and his girlfriend brake up, he doesn't talk for a week, she moves away because something happened involving drugs. Now, says he doesn't do relationships, goes missing, drugs are found inside his house, a man very similar to him is found unconscious at the beach with his chain. Is it just coincidence?"
"Alright even if it isn't, what the fuck can we do?" Kai points out.
"We look for her." Zack had been awfully quiet until then.
"What?" You all say.
"His ex, we find her and asked what happened the last time!"
"And how the hell are we gonna..."
"I had her number!" Ella exclaims. "I might still have it."
The void in your heat is replaced with a fire, the burning urge to find Kaiden and the warm sensation that you can, in fact, to something.
Sarah Jones Calling...
"Hello? Who is this?"
"Hi, Sarah, it's Ella. I don't know if you remember me but we went to the same school in freshman year."
"Oh yeah, I remember you. Anyways why are you calling this early?"
"So we kinda need your help..."
"Sure, with what?"
