Skating through love

Lovesick

You get home alright, your parents are still sound asleep. You lay down and try to get a few more hours of sleep but too many thoughts stray your mind. You roll around your bed for a while but eventually decide to get up.

"This is useless, there's no way I'm gonna fall asleep." You tell yourself.

You put on some black jeans, a cropped top and a denim jacket and head to the kitchen. You eat some toast quickly, before your parents wake up, and write a note.

"I went skating, don't expect me for lunch. -Delilah"

You grab your skateboard and close the door behind you. It's still quite early so you have the roads to yourself. You don't really have a destiny, you just roam around the city. You try to relax but the same thought keeps haunting you, Kaiden. For some reason you just can't get him out of your head.

By 10 a.m. you realize you have are quite close to Harley's house. You decide to head there. Her parents are very chill and will probably not mind you appearing uninvited. You knock on the door.

"Oh hey! Come in." Says Harley quite surprised.

You say hi to her parents and then head upstairs to her bedroom.

"So what brings you here?" Harley asks.

"Kinda need some love advice... I think I'm falling for Kaiden but I'm scared that he only wants to play."

"Well ask him, you don't have much to lose do you? You already make out regularly, chances are he does feel something too."

When you think about it, it is quite true, he didn't start kissing other random girls. Still you aren't sure of what to do. You thank Harley and go back to cruising the streets. You end up getting some drive through for lunch. You eat sitting on a bench looking over the beach and you can just barely make out the figures of Kai and Roxy coming out of the water.

"Didn't even let me say goodbye, princess."
