Chapter 14

Toni's POV

"NO!" I shrieked. I finally managed to break free of the men's grasp and ran over to Cheryl.

"Cheryl, hey hey, look at me it's okay you're going to be okay, I'm going to get you out of here," I said holding her limp body.

"I can't get rid of my feelings for you, I love you, Toni Topaz always and forever," she gave me a weak smile.

"So, if you love her as much as you say you do, you'll bite this girl," as he said that someone pulled Ethel out of a room.

"For Gods' sake, Jesse," I sighed.

"Toni, don't do it," she pleaded.

"Cheryl, I can't lose you and if it's the only way then I'll do it," I said firmly, " You need to save you energy and put pressure on it, okay?"

She nodded. I got up and gently placed Cheryl down. I walked over to Ethel and mouthed I'm sorry, she nodded. I deployed my fangs. I sunk them into Ethel's neck, the blood tasted so good like something I had been craving. I pulled my fangs out of Ethel's neck and she was really pale. I needed to take her and Cheryl to my trailer so I could give Ethel some of the potion. I turned around and went back to Cheryl who looked really bad.

"How are you holding up?" I asked, taking her body in my arms.

"Toni, I-I..." she trailed off.

"You what baby? I'm right here," I said.

"I think I'm dying," she confessed.

"No, no that's not going to happen," I reassured.

"I love you, Toni," she smiled faintly.

"I love you, too, Cheryl," I smiled back.

I hovered my hands over her wound and surely enough it was decreasing before I knew it, the wound was gone.

"Cheryl, do you feel any better?" I asked.

"Yes, I do actually, thanks to you," she sat up and hugged me tightly.

"As for you," I stood up and turned to Jesse, "You're going to be feeling terrible," I said as I reached for the holy water filled water gun. It wasn't there.

"Looking for this," one of his goons smirked.

I panicked and tackled him. I let out so much rage that I didn't know I had built up in me, I punched him in the face so many times I bruised my knuckles I got up when he was out cold.

I picked up Cheryl and ran to my trailer. I placed her gently on the couch.

A/N: The situation with the running, basically in My babysitter's a Vampire the vampire's and fledglings could run super-fast, like the flash fast or that's what I think at least, so whenever Toni runs she's running super fast. Probably should have said that sooner but better late than never.

"I'll be back," I said, pecking on the cheek.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"To finish what I started, if I don't come back, I love you more than you'll ever know and I'm sorry that I left you in this hateful world alone," I said before walking out.

I got back into La Bonne Nuit with a stake, Jesse was still where I left him. I stabbed him in his leg causing him to wake up.

"You have caused me, so much pain! I hate you so much!" I yelled.

"What are you going to do with that?" he chuckled, gesturing to the stake.

"What I should have done a while ago. I. Am. Going. To. Kill. You." I said.

He laughed. I needed to get this over with. I walked over to him, stared into his eyes and plunged the stake into his heart. His body slowly disintegrated into ash. His goons ran away out of fear at that point.

I picked up Ethel off of the ground, she probably passed out while I was gone. I brought her to my trailer.

When I got there, Cheryl was outside she opened the door and the moment I put Ethel down on the couch she kissed me.

"Are you okay?" I asked, pulling away.

"I'm fine," she lied.

"Cheryl," I sighed gently pushing her off of me, "Talk to me," I said.

"What is there to talk about?" she asked annoyed.

"Alright," I gave up.

I walked into my bedroom and found the potion and poured a little bit into Ethel's open mouth.

"Is that poison?" Cheryl asked shocked.

"Of course not, it will make her human again," I explained.

"How did I get here?" Ethel asked as she woke up.

"Um you were, um, feeling sick and I took you to my trailer and you fell asleep," I lied.

"Oh, okay, thank you, I'll be on my way," she replied walking out.

Cheryl and I sat down on the couch. We sat in awkward silence for what felt like hours but it was only like 5-10 minutes.

"Cheryl, I'm sorry," I finally broke the silence.

"It's alright," she lied.

"Cheryl, you know I can tell when you're lying," I said.

"What do you want me to say, Toni?!" she asked.

"Talk to me," I said.

"The love of my life left me in the dark on something extremely important, she saved me from the grasps of death, she brought my supposedly dead brother back to me, she showed me true happiness, yet I'm at a crossroads," she divulged.

"About?" I asked.

"Us," she answered.

Deep down, I knew that was what she was going to say, I put on a strong front.

"Okay, I'll give you some time to think," I said getting up.

"Thank you," she said.

I opened the door, "I'll see you at school, tomorrow, Cheryl," I said.

She nodded, got up and left. Although my trailer was small, I felt like I was alone in a never-ending abyss. I was destined to be alone in this world. So, I don't know if Cheryl broke up with me, but it sure felt like she did. I would say that it hurt but at this point, I was numb to pain of any kind physical or emotional. I felt so alone that no one would miss me. I had some anti-depressants that I stopped using when I met Cheryl because I didn't need them anymore. I kept them with me so that if I ever fell down that abyss again I would have a way out.

At this point I had gone way past the abyss I felt like I was just floating aimlessly in outer space. I was at the point where I would rather feel the pain, being numb was so much more exhausting than anyone knew. I got a pen and paper and thought about what to write some stuff down.
