Cheryl's POV
I was relaxing in the living room, leaving Toni to her own devices because I knew she would want to be alone.

Now, I know that my mother is bad, but I can't believe her mom would do that to her, Toni is so lovable as well so for her mother to do that to her is despicable, honestly. And, Toni said she wants to marry me well, maybe she was only saying it at the moment to prove a point.

I was brought out of my thoughts by my phone ringing, it was… Jughead?

"Hello?" I answered.

"Cheryl, where's Toni?" he asked.

"She's in our room, why?" I answered.

"She wasn't picking up the phone, and there's a ghoulie fight and we need he-" he started.

"She's not coming, today's been a rough day," I sighed.

"Okay, hope she gets better," he replied, cheerily as he hung up.

"Me too," I muttered under my breath.

I couldn't shake this feeling after that phone call, the feeling that something was wrong so I decided to check up on Toni. I walked up the stairs cautiously and walked into the bedroom, to find she wasn't in there. I was about to leave when I heard quiet sobs coming from the bathroom, whose door was slightly ajar.

I peeked my head in and the sight that I saw was heartbreaking, to say the least.

***************************************

I saw Toni slumped on the floor, razor in the right hand, her left arm was covered in fresh slice marks, all the way from her bicep to her wrist, some of the cuts were still gushing blood. There were tissues stained with the red fluid scattered around her. Her face was beautiful as always, yet broken she looked as if she had been through hell and back, and I guess emotionally, she had, her eyes were red and puffy, her nose showing a hint of red too, her cheeks had been stained by dried tears, that were being reconstituted by the new waterfall of tears that were escaping her eyes.

"Toni, no," I whispered walking into the room.

When she saw me she started crying even harder, I sat down on the floor and took her into my embrace, whilst carefully applying pressure to her wounds to stop the bleeding, as well as whispering sweet things in her ear to soothe her.

******************************************

At this point, Toni had stopped crying and we were just in a comfortable silence just enjoying each other's embrace. I gently picked her up and brought her to bed and got in myself and she immediately snuggled up next to me. I flipped around so I was facing her.

"Baby, I know you're hurting, trust me, I know that, but this isn't the way, okay?" I sighed.

"B-But I just w-wanted to feel s-something, I was starting to feel numb," she explained.

"Then you talk to me, talk to Jughead, we have friends that will happily listen to you Toni, that's what they're for, I don't want anything to happen to you, I've already lost Jay-Jay and I can't lose you," I sighed.

"Okay, I'm sorry," she apologized.

"It's fine but you said you wanna marry me, TT," I whispered.
