Chapter 48

Cheryl's POV
I woke up and stretched immediately being met with a cold spot in the bed. I sat up quickly as a wave of worry ran over me. It soon subsided when I heard the sound of music being played in the kitchen.

I got out of bed and went into the bathroom to have a shower, I zoned out for a bit and was in there for about twenty minutes before I came out and got dressed. I walked downstairs and saw Cheryl eating breakfast.

"Morning, Cheryl," I smiled.

"Good morning, TT, your breakfast is in the microwave so it didn't get cold," she told me.

I took my food out of the microwave and sat down and ate.

"Thank you, baby, that was delicious," I praised, whilst putting the plate in the dishwasher.

"You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it," she replied, giving me a kiss.

"I'm gonna go talk to them now," I announced.

"Where are you going to meet them?" She asked.

"That's a good question, let me call them and we'll talk at Pop's," I answered.

I took my phone out of my bag and called Erica, she picked up after a few rings.

"Yes, Toni?" She said, her voice laced with sleep.

"Can you and the boys meet me at Pop's?" I asked.

"When?" She replied.

"Where are you?" I retorted.

"When?" She asked again, slightly aggressively.

"In like 30 minutes, you don't need anything fancy," I answered.

At Pop's
Once I arrived at Pop's, I sat in a booth and ordered a vanilla milkshake. I waited for around five minutes later they walked through the doors and sat down with me in the booth.

"What's up, T?" Benny asked.

"Can you tell me the story about how that night happened again, please?" I replied.

"Alright. So I think I had stayed at school late working on some form of project and you and Ethan had left to do some couple stuff whilst Erica and Rory were probably sucking each other's faces somewhere. I left the school and I was walking home when he appeared from behind a tree as he does. He said to me that he knew I had a spellbook and that I could do something to you that would make it seem like he killed us. I didn't know how he knew about it, none of you knew about it at the time, I wasn't supposed to do any of the spells from the section that one came from but when your life was on the line Toni I didn't care what Nana thought. So I explained what happened to Ethan, Rory and Erica, and to give her credit she wanted to tell you so badly, but when she actually realised the repercussions of what would happen if we didn't do this on our own she backed down. We wanted to tell you and figure out a way to play it off like we didn't and stay in contact with you, but we knew he would figure it out and kill you. So we came up with a scenario that makes sense and went through all the details. Then that night I spelled you, you saw what you saw and we went MIA."

"Did it have to be so graphic?" I asked after a sharp inhale.

"It needed to be believable," Ethan said.

"Well, I first want to say that it may not seem like it but I'm so glad you're all here. I think the reason I came off how I did was due to shock. It's taken me a while to process that you're real and not just in my head. Actually, on that note, I'm a hopeless romantic, you guys know that, so I went to your graves and asked for a sign that you permit me to date Cheryl and it came in a dream, was that you?" I asked.
