Cheryl's POV
I was outside of Toni's holding cell waiting for her to be released when I got a notification on my phone. I sighed as I read it.

"What is it?" Toni asked.

"Nothing," I replied.

"Cheryl," she said.

"Fine look at this headline," I sighed showing her my phone.

"Serpent Toni Topaz tries to kill Northside Prince Jason Blossom," she read it aloud.

"I'm sorry baby," I sighed.

"It's fine, it's not your fault," she said.

All of a sudden we heard a smashing sound. We both jumped.

"I'll be right back," I said getting up.

"Wait," Toni called.

"What, Toni?" I asked.

"Be careful, I don't want anything to happen to you," she said.

"You're cute, I'll be fine," I said as I left.

I walked out and saw a brick covered in glass shards. I saw Sheriff Keller.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"The people are rioting because of what happened," he answered.

"They only know so much Toni didn't do it," I said.

"Speaking of I reviewed the evidence and she's free to go," he smiled.

We walked into Toni's holding and he unlocked it and I hugged her so tight, I never wanted to let her go.

"What are we going to do about the rioters?" I asked.

"There's nothing we can do maybe just protect Toni because that's who they're going for," he said.

We nodded.

"I'll call Pea, you call Fangs," Toni said.

"Okay," I said.

15 minutes later
"Tiny, you're alright!" Pea said as he walked in.

"Yeah we thought you were hurt," Fangs added, "We brought Jug as well if that's

okay,"

"Yeah it's cool, now let's go," she said getting up.

"So everyone huddle around Toni," Pea ordered.

We all walked out and there were so many people. They were all barging us, shoving us, doing all sorts of things.

"Everybody get down!" I heard a voice yell.

I ducked down and heard a loud bang. I felt a piercing pain in my stomach. I looked down. Blood.

Toni's POV
"Toni," Cheryl called from behind me.

I turned around and saw Cheryl lying on the floor clutching her stomach. I crawled over to her.

"Cheryl, what happened?" I asked.
