Chapter 31

Cheryl's POV
That was until we stopped near her old house.

"Um, I think you deserve to know why I said what I said," she sighed.

"What are you talking about my love?" I asked confused.

"It's my fault my friends are dead Jesse killed them, because of me," she said looking down.

"Tones he was a terrible person that wasn't you're fault," I said hugging her.

"Are you sure?" she asked looking at me with watery eyes.

"Would I lie to you?" I asked.

She shook her head.

"There's your answer," I smiled.

I gently kissed her and she smiled.

"Antoinette, get away from my house with that disgusting behaviour," I hear a woman yell.

I'm guessing that's her mom.

"Piss off mom, you don't like what you see stop looking," Toni yells back.

Her mom goes back inside and Toni immediately collapses into my arms and starts sobbing.

"Hey, hey it's alright you're okay, baby, you're fine," I coo.

"She always ruins everything," she cries.

"It's okay, let's get to school, okay?" I say kissing her temple.

She nods and we walk to school. We get there and go straight to Mr Whetherbee's office.

"Girls, what can I do for you today?" he asks.

"I um have some bad news Mr Whetherbee. Jason he-he passed away," I choke.

"Oh, Ms Blossom I'm sorry for your loss, is there anything I can do for you?"

"Can I tell everyone through the tannoy?" I ask holding back tears.

"Of course, my doors always open take care of yourself Ms Blossom, you too Ms Topaz," he says as we leave.

I go outside to the microphone and take a deep breath and speaking.

"Student's of Riverdale High this is your Student Body President Cheryl Blossom speaking," I start, "I am here this morning with some bad news, many of you know my brother Jason he was the most kind-hearted person he was a gentle giant, he was loved by all and he passed away yesterday night after the accident at Sweetwater River," I say voice cracking.

Toni hugs me and we walk out receiving sympathetic looks from everyone we go to Jason's locker and I place the flowers down and I say my silent sorrys. Then we walk into the student lounge where I am engulfed in a hug from all of our friends. I just cry and cry and cry and cry. We break the hug and Toni kisses my cheek.

"I'm so sorry Archie I know you guys were really close," I sigh.

"Cheryl, he was your twin brother if I'm feeling sad then you're broken, and that's okay," he smiles.

"Thank you, I'll be okay, as long as my hateful mother doesn't come back," I half-laugh.

I got up and saw an all too familiar face and stopped dead in my tracks.

"M-Mother what are you doing here?" I stutter.

"I'm taking you home, we need to talk about funeral arrangements for Jason," she sighs, grabbing my arm.

I yank it back. "Toni come with me,"

"She doesn't need to come," she sneers.

"She's coming and that's final," I spit back, "Isn't that right TT?"
