I guess I’m going to the hospital. I arrived after 10 minutes because of traffic hopefully Cheryl won’t mind. I walk into the hospital and go to the front desk.

“Hi, do you know what room, Jason Blossom is in?” I ask.

“What’s your relation to the patient?” she asked.

“I-I um,” I stutter.

“Toni!” A familiar voice calls.

“Cheryl, hi,” I say.

“She’s with me,” she says to the person at the front desk.

“So what’s so important?” I ask, “I was going to pack my stuff,”

“Why were you going to pack your stuff?” she asks.

“Because as you put it ‘We’re over’” I say looking down.

“Toni..” she starts.

“Cheryl I still love you so being cordial isn’t going to work, so let’s just hurry along,” I say.

“Fine, I need emotional support, because, I’m-I’m,” she stutters.

“Your what?” I ask.

“I’m turning off Jason’s life support,” she says starting to cry.

“Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know,” I say kissing her temple.

“It’s okay,” she sniffles, “Can you just be there when I do it?”

“Okay,” I sigh.

“Before we do it I have a question,” she says.

“Shoot,” I reply.

“Why didn’t you heal me when I was shot?” she whispers.

“Honestly. I was panicking, the love of my life was dying in front of me and I forgot, I’m sorry,” I answer.

“It’s okay,” she smiles.

We go into the room and Cheryl’s holding onto me for dear life.

The nurse unplugs the machine and he flatlines. Cheryl starts sobbing into my shirt, I’m crying a little now. I wish I could’ve known him better. But at least he approves of me and Cheryl. Or at least what was.

The nurses usher us to leave and when we do Cheryl starts losing it.

She starts hitting me in my chest, screaming and crying, she’s making a scene so I take her outside.

“Why did you let me do it?!” she screams.

“Jason told you to and I don’t think I should disobey him,” I answer.
