Chapter 49

Toni's POV
I woke up on the couch and stretched my limbs. I must've fallen asleep whilst watching TV, I immediately noticed today felt different like something was in the air. I brushed it off though and walked upstairs to wake Cheryl. I entered the room and saw a sight that warmed my heart, Erica and Cheryl were cuddled up together and sleeping soundly. I took a quick picture and decided to let them sleep for a bit longer.

I walk downstairs and see the boys sitting at the table eating cereal.

"Hey guys," I waved at them.

"What's up?" Benny replied.

"Can I ask you guys something?" I inquired.

"Sure," Ethan nodded.

"Where are you guys staying?" I asked.

"Wherever," Rory shrugged.

"Rory! Erica told us not to tell her!" Ethan scolded.

"And why would she do that?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Because she knows you have enough on your plate, so she didn't want you to worry about where we were staying," Benny explained.

"She should know that I will always worry about my friends, it doesn't matter what I'm dealing with," I replied.

"I know that T, but I hate when you worry about us, more so, me," Erica sighed coming down the stairs.

"Morning Erica, where's Cheryl?" I asked.

"I'm here TT," Cheryl said groggily, from the top of the stairs.

"You guys looked cute sleeping together," I smiled.

"She cheated on you?!" Benny screamed.

"No idiot, they fell asleep in the same bed after their talk," Rory told him.

"You know you're an idiot when Rory has to explain something to you," I laughed.

"Erica and I want to go to the store, do you guys want anything?" Cheryl asked.

"Um, chocolate covered raisins," Rory whispered.

"You can get that yourself, grandma. I won't be caught dead buying such a snack," Erica cackled.

"Alright bye everyone," Cheryl said walking to the door.

"Excuse me, aren't you forgetting something," I cleared my throat.

Cheryl giggled and waddled over to me, "Hi baby, I'll see you soon, I love you,"

2 hours later
Erica and Cheryl had been gone for quite a while and although I didn't know what they were getting I don't think that it would take two hours. I began to worry and all the worst scenarios began to play throughout my head. I decided not to go full-blown crazy and call Cheryl's phone, she didn't pick up. I then called Erica's phone, but she didn't pick up either.

"Ethan! Benny! Rory!" I screamed.

"What's happening, Toni?" Ethan asked.

"The girls are taking too long, I think something is up," I explained.

"Aren't girls usually gone for like a day when they shop?" Benny asked, confused.

"No, idiot," I rolled my eyes.

"Wait, I think I see them pulling in now," Ethan said, going over to the window.

I breathed a sigh of relief as I watched Cheryl's convertible pull into the driveway. The car came to a stop and Erica stepped out. I walked to the front door and went outside to greet them, however, the look on Erica's face signalled to me that something was wrong.
