Chapter 6

The serpent dance doesn't exist because ew.

At school

Toni's POV

"What is the fourth law?" Jughead asked.

"Um, I got this. It's um oh oh oh it's no Serpent is left for dead," I replied.

"That's right but, you have to have more confidence, remember you're gonna be shouting and all of the Serpents are gonna be there. You cannot show any weakness. Okay?" Jughead said.

"Alright, um so what time should I be at the Whyte Wyrm?" I asked.

"Um around 10 o'clock," he answered.

"Cool. Catch you later Jones," I said.

"See ya, Topaz," he waved goodbye.

At The Whyte Wyrm

"What is the sixth law?!" Tall Boy yelled.

"In unity there is strength!" I yelled back.

Everyone around me clapped until Tall Boy started yelling.

"Your initiation is not over yet now you need to retrieve the knife from the dragon's den." Tall Boy said.

Everyone shifted, revealing the snake in a terrarium. I saw the switchblade. I just decided to go up to it grab the knife as quick as I could and avoid getting bitten.

"Is it poisonous?" I asked.

"That I don't know." Tall Boy answered honestly.

I walked up to the terrarium and stuck my hand in careful not to disturb the snake. I grabbed the knife and it brushed past the snake, causing it to wake up. I tried to pull my arm out as fast as I could but the snake was faster and it plunged its fangs into me. I could feel t's venom being released into my bloodstream. After what felt like hours the snake finally let go of my arm. I pulled out the knife. Everybody cheered.

"Tomorrow we do the Gauntlet!" Tall Boy yelled.

"Um, I don't feel so good. I think that snake was poisonous," I said, vision blurring.

I fell to the ground.

"Call Cheryl," was all I could get out before passing out.

At Thistlehouse

Cheryl's POV

I was lying in bed when my phone rang I thought it was Toni but an unknown number appeared. I answered

"Hello?" I said.

"Cheryl, it's Sweet Pea and um something happened to Toni," he said.

I shot up. "Is she okay? Where are you?"

"There's an ambulance coming for her she's out cold right now. We're at the Whyte Wyrm and your best bet is to go to the hospital," he replied.

"Okay I'll be there," I said then hung up.

I got up got dressed and ran out of the house.

I arrived at the hospital and saw Jughead, Sweet Pea and Fangs. Jughead saw me and came up to me for a hug. I slapped him and proceeded to do the same to Sweet Pea and Fangs.

"Now one of is going to tell me what the hell happened to my girlfriend before I do something worse than slapping all of you," I said angrily.

"Um, it was the third part of the initiation process and she was getting the switchblade from the snake's cage and it bit her," Sweet Pea said.
