As our time in Vegas starts to come to a end I try to fit in as much fun things as possible. We've been mini golfing and eaten at all my favorite restaurants so far. I showed Mary where I played when I grew up and my old high school.

As for tonight we were ending this trip with a bang. The Route 91 Music Festivel kicked off tonight and while I stand by saying country music isn't for me, it's growing on me. It has to when you listen to it as much as Jenna does. So my buddy Bryce Harper and his fiancé Kayla are meeting us and we were going to listen to some music and have the time of our lives. My parents would watch Mary because she shouldn't be at a concert like this, there's a lot of adult activity going on and I don't want to lose her.

So Jenna gets herself all dolled up and pulls out her cowgirl boots she insisted she would need out here. He wore her favorite jean shorts and the biggest belt she could find around here. Her bright pink tank top made her look like her auburn hair was glowing.

"Okay! I'm ready" she smiles big as she pops out of the bathroom. She looked a little too good if you asked me. Her long hair curled and her makeup perfect as always. I look her up and down a few times to take it all in. "Do I look bad" she questions when I take too long to answer her.

"No" I answer a little too quickly. "I mean, not at all. You look stunning" I assure her.

"Good" she smiles.

We drop Mary off at my parents house and for once she doesn't throw a fit. She's loved her one on one time with my dad learning all about baseball. I don't think she will stick with it for too long, she's got a lot of years left in her and not a lot of attention span to the game, but she likes playing with her grandpa and doing something pretty cool for a four year old.

Once she was settled in we meet Bryce and Kayla at the venue and I introduce them to Jenna. They already knew all about her and she knows about them too. So it wasn't hard for them to hit it off right away.

"I can see why you're only coming home for a little while. She's the kind of person you would want to follow around everywhere" Bryce admits.

"I got lucky" I agree, "she was one of the first people I met when I was in Chicago and she just happened to be the best person for me. Life works in funny ways like that" I smile.

"I guess so. Some guys get all the luck" he teases and I laugh.

"Please, you're MLBs poster boy and you're marrying your high school sweetheart. I dont want to hear it" I tease.

"I guess we both got it pretty good then huh" he asks.

"I would have to agree" I nod.

Eventually Jenna comes over and pulls me behind her. The band starts up and I know better than to come between a country girl and her music. So I wrap my arms around her as we move to the beat of the song. Jenna holds her hand to the sky as she sways back and fourth letting the music take her. I connect with her and feel the music through her before letting it all go and having some fun.

"Baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Hey, baby

Yeah, when I first saw that bikini top on her
She's poppin' right out of the South Georgia water
Thought, oh, good Lord, she had them long tanned legs
Couldn't help myself so I walked up and said

Baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise.
Down a back road blowin' stop signs
Through the middle every little farm town with you

In this brand new Chevy with a lift kit
Would look a hell of a lot better with you up in it
Huh, so baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise."

Jenna spins around in my arms and smiles up to me with those perfect teeth of hers. Her eyes seemed brighter than usual, she seemed happier than usual. And I don't think that she isn't happy every other moment, but there's usually this cloud hanging over her occasionally causing her eyes to get cloudy. But as she dances around in my arms staring through my soul I feel like there was no cloud above her. It was just sun shine and it was so bright.

"She was sippin' on Southern and singin' Marshall Tucker
We were fallin' in love in the sweet heart of summer
She hopped right up into the cab of my truck and said
"Fire it up, let's go get this thing stuck"

I pull her into a soft kiss then a not so soft kiss. Suddenly it felt like everyone around us disappears as I get lost in her eyes. I could feel my heart jumping out of my chest because she still drove me crazy. But I loved that she could do that to me.

We both continue to sing and sway like we were the only two people in this concert.

"I thought you didn't know country music" she accuses.

"Everyone knows this song" I defend.

"Alright, fair enough" she giggles.

"Baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Down a back road blowin' stop signs
Through the middle every little farm town with you

In this brand new Chevy with a lift kit
Would look a hell of a lot better with you up in it
Huh, so baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise

When that summer sun fell to its knees
I looked at her and she looked at me
Then I turned on those KC lights
And drove all night 'cause it felt so right
Her and I, man, we feel so right

I put it in park and grabbed my guitar
And strummed a couple chords and sang from the heart
Girl, you sure got the beat in my chest bumpin'
Hell, I can't get you out of my head."

I playfully dip her backwards as she hangs on to me. But I would never drop her, never let her go. I was keeping her close to me and I wouldn't have it any other way.

"Baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Down a back road blowin' stop signs
Through the middle every little farm town with you

Well, baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Down a back road blowin' stop signs
Through the middle every little farm town with you

In this brand new Chevy with a lift kit
Would look a hell lot better with you up in it
Come on

Baby, you a song
You make me wanna roll my windows down and cruise
Come on, girl
Get those windows down and cruise
Aw, yeah."
