THE FIGHT

Shnaya was expecting Vikram at tea time but he didn't come . She wasn't sure if he was busy at work or if he was avoiding her . Afterall meeting Maya must have been an unpleasant and unplanned surprise for him .

Or maybe seeing her had invoked some old memories . Shnaya had never known about the extent of Vikram's relationship with Maya . It had been a long courtship . Had they just met a few times or had they slept together ? Vikram was a virile hotblooded male and Maya was very beautiful . Infact Shnaya knew that Maya had no qualms of not being intimate before marriage . Shnaya knew she had had lovers even before Vikram .

Her mind was plagued with doubts . Maya came to her room at tea time and was happy to know that Vikram had not come back yet .

"Shnaya where is Vikram ? I thought you two were to spend the evening together .?"

"Di he must be tied with some work "

"Shnaya don't make excuses for him . Did he call ?"

"No di but he must be busy "

"Shnaya you have to keep a tight hand or else you will lose him . When I was engaged to Vikram he had told me that he had many mistresses . He is a prince after all and thst to a rich one . He must have at least two three mistresses in his kingdom . The problem is you are too young for him . If I had been married to him I wouldn't let him wander because I am sexually experienced while he married a virgin "

"Shnaya please tell me that you have been intimate?"

"Yes di though it took longer since I was not ready but Vikram was very patient with me . We consummated our marriage on our honeymoon "

Maya was green with envy of Shnaya . She had thought Vikram wouldn't even look at Shnaya but now since they were physically active Maya would have to put extra effort in breaking their marriage . But Maya was confident that her beauty would be sufficient to entice Vikram plus she was willing to go to any height to get him back . She wanted all money , power and Vikram .

"Well good for you but you know what Shnaya I didn't want to disappoint you but Vikram and I spent time together and our sex was explosive . Infact he constantly told me that it was thebest sex he had and nothing ever came close to what we had . But that is in the past . We need to focus on your future . Please don't tell him I told you because he will deny as he is married to you now and I am your sister so it will create an awkward situation "

Shnaya's face paled on hearing this . Her worst fears were confirmed . So Vikram and Shnaya had been together intimately and if Vikram still desired Maya then her marriage was in trouble.

There were tears in Shnaya's eyes and Maya smiled with satisfaction. The first seed of doubt had been put in Shnaya's mind . Now she just needed to work on the insecurities and soon she would have Shnaya out of Vikram's life .

Maya consoled Shnaya ,"Who cares if he he hasn't come . Don't you wait for him . You had promised to show me the local bazaar so lets go right now . Let him wait for you instead of the other way round "

Shnaya wasn't too keen but she didn't want to hurt Maya's feelings and also she didn't want wallow in her own misery so she agreed .

They left for the bazaar . Maya was a shopaholic . They spent close to four hours shopping.Shnaya had wanted to be back by dinner time but Maya insisted that they have dinner at a restaurant nearby and Shnaya relented .

Shnaya had wanted to call Vikram but Maya had kept her phone saying that they wanted no intrusions and let Vikram suffer for a change . Just like old times she had dominated Shnaya completely.

They came back around 11 PM . Vikram had come home around 8 PM . He had just wanted to relax and have dinner with his wife but Shnaya was not in their suite . He asked the Maharani of her whereabouts but Maharani knew nothing . He had called Shnaya but she had not responded . Nobody knew where she had gone .This was a first because Shnaya was a responsible person and she always informed the Maharani before she left .

After waiting for two hours he had a quiet dinner alone and then went to work .

It was around 11 PM when Shnaya returned . ,"Shnaya where the hell have you been ? I called you but you didn't respond ? You didn't even tell mom? Where were you ?"

"Vikram why are you screaming at me ?I went shopping with Maya that's all"

She replied so casually and Vikram was furious.

"Why didn't you answer my calls ?"

"My phone was in the purse and I didn't hear it ?"

"You could have at least told mom . She was worried as well "

"Vikram I didn't know that I was supposed to take permission before leaving the palace . I am your wife not your slave dammit "

"Shnaya don't you talk to me like that . Why the hell should worry for you ?I came home to spend time with you . It was my mistake because my wife was too busy in wandering with her sister . The sister who ran way two days before her marriage "

Shnaya was too angry to respond . She just banged the door and went to change in the bathroom .

In her mind she repeated their conversation . So Vikram hadn't forgotten what Maya had done . He missed Maya after all .

She went straight to bed crying herself to sleep.
