STEP THREE

Vikram had overheard everything . He had also seen Shnaya's eyes filled with tears .

What was happening in his life ? First his brother falls for his wife and now a foreigner who just came for two days proposed to his wife . Was he missing something? Did his wife give wrong signals to men ? Was she not as innocent as she looked or was the truth different? Was she not happy in her marriage ? Did Shnaya still feel forced into this marriage ? Was what happened in Maldives of no consequence to her ? Did she feel nothing at all towards him ?

These doubts plagued his mind . For the first time in his life he was confused , he felt helpless and didn't know how to handle this situation .

He had been thinking of clearing his situation with Maya by convincing his wife that nothing had happened between them but now he felt all this explaining was futile . When he himself was not sure of her intentions then he needn't justify his own .He knew it was his ego talking but then why should he take the first step . Let Shnaya take initiative this time .

He was in no mood to talk to Shnaya now . Infact he didn't even want to see her face tonight so again on the pretext of a business dinner he left the palace .

The next morning Vikram left for Mumbai without even informing Shnaya .She had presumed he had left office early but she was shocked when Maya told her that Vikram had left for Mumbai .

Maya had come to meet her at breakfast slyly remarking that Vikram had met her before going to Mumbai .

When Shnaya accused her of trying to break her marriage Maya pretended to cry ," Shnaya how can you accuse mr of something so horrible . I know I am not an ideal elder sister but never has the idea of destroying your marriage come to my mind . Vikram belongs to you . I have even tried to convince him so many times "

"Di then tell me what your underwear was doing in my bathroom and what the hell were you doing in my suite when you knew I was not here ?"

"Actually Shnaya I had hoped you wouldn't find out . I wanted to keep this incident secret because I know you are very softhearted and I didn't want yo hurt your feelings . I didn't come on my own . Actually Vikram had called for me . I thought maybe you had come back so I came over but I found Vikram sitting with a cup of tea in his hand . when I asked him where you were he told me that you had not come back . When I was about to leave he pulled my hand and told me that he had called . I thought he wanted me to apologise but he surprised me by saying he missed me.instead "Then Maya stopped .

Maya was very manipulative. She wanted to see if Shnaya would believe her and by Shnaya's expressions and next question Maya was convinced that her plan was working .

"Why have you turned quiet ? What else did he say di ?"

"Oh Shnaya Please I don't want to hurt you further . Please just leave it " Maya pretended .

"Di go on . Today I will hear the entire truth "

"Ok if you insist little sister .Vikram said that I shouldn't have left him . He had been dying to marry me but In my absence in order to save our families from any embarrassment he had been forced to marry you . He told me that I was always his first choice and you had never even been in the picture .The unfortunate situation had lead to his marrying you .He further said that you were too young and inexperienced for him .

As you know Shnaya Vikram and me had been intimate during our engagement but what you don't know is that except for our first two meetings we were intimate in all others . So Vikram knows how explosive our chemistry is . He told me he missed our chemistry . He said what we had was love while what he had with you was just sex . "

"And he also said that he was having sex with you till you had a heir . After that he wouldn't even touch you ."

Shnaya was already crying after hearing this but Maya had to still blow her confidence and feed on her insecurities so she continued ,"He also told me that for about two months he pretended to be busy at work because he didn't want to come home to you . He said he hated the idea that you were his wife

.He also said that though he would never be happy with you he wouldn't leave you because they never divorced in his family . Once married he was bound to you .and even if it meant he would remain unhappy his entire life he would follow his family's traditions of no divorce . I am so sorry Shnaya darling I just didn't want to hurt you by telling all this and Maya burst Into her crocodile tears .

Shnaya was so stunned . It was as if someone had pulled the floor under her feet .

"Shnaya don't cry baby .I tried to convince him to move on with his life . I told him that you were a nice girl and even if you were sexually inexperienced you had your whole life to learn . I also told him to forget me "

"How did he react to then Maya ?"

""Very badly . Infact he tried to kiss me and when I tried to push him away his tea fell on my clothes . That is why I went to the bathroom but you know what he followed me their also . You saw my panties but didn't you see that they were torn.He entered the shower and tore my panties . When I screamed he told me that he would never rape me because he loved me . He just wanted to see me naked . He then left the bathroom and I changed into a bathing gown . You remember finding me in it don't you ?"

"Now this is the full story but it would have been better if you hadn't asked ?" saying this she hugged Shnaya and with a huge smile like when a cat eats the entire cream she left a weeping Shnaya .

So Step Three was enforced . Today Maya had totally broken Shnaya and now it would just take very little time to break her marriage . After-all she had a week because she had to convince Shnaya to leave before he arrived .
