THE ROYAL AFFAIR

ERIC VISITS AGAIN

Again next month Eric was in London . He planned to visit her at least once a month . Again it was just a four day trip but this time he spent more time with her .

On the first day they had dinner together. On the second day they couldn't meet but then the third day was Saturday and Eric wrapped up his work till lunch time so that they may get more time with each other .

On Saturday as promised Shnaya cooked him some Indian food .

Eric arrived at tea time bringing with him some pastries and muffins and coffee . He had noticed that Shnaya had a sweet tooth so he added doughnuts as well .

Shnaya was expecting Eric at dinner time but he came early .

"Surprise Shnaya . Coffee on me . Come join me "saying this he placed everything on her table .

They discussed her college and his business and even mundane things like the weather .

Eric asked her progress on the designs and she showed him that she had incorporated the changes he had suggested . This pleased him a lot .

Shnaya then served dinner .

This time she served him traditional Rajasthani food of kadi , gatte ki subzi and laal maas - a mutton delicacy with rice .

As usual Eric simply loved the food .

"Shnaya everytime I come and meet you I admire you even more . I know you are happily married to Vikram , infact you are a royal princess but I genuinely feel that I met you late . You are a gem of a person and you need to be cherished and pampered. You are the perfect friend , a fabulous cook , a talented designer and a gorgeous lady . I am your fan ,"saying this he kissed her hand .

Shnaya blushed ,"Eric you are too much "

"Shnaya have you seen "The bath and Stonehenge "

"No not yet . We are planning but these days Sanjay is busy so when he is free we will plan accordingly "

Again that Sanjay thought Eric . This boy was too much a part of Shnaya's life and he didn't like it .

"Shnaya I am totally free tomorrow . Will you give me the honour to take you there your highness ?" Eric bowed in front of her and asked .

Shnaya laghed and accepted,"Ok dear friend . Accepted "

"Shnaya be ready by eight . Now I will take your leave as we have an early morning tomorrow ."

Eric had arranged for a private tour in a luxury car with a guide.Shnaya reached his hotel where a luxury car was waiting for them .

Today Eric was dressed casually in jeans and printed shirt while Shnaya was wearing a knotted top with a capri . She was devoid of any makeup but looked so fresh and pretty that Eric was tempted to kiss her .

It was an approximate two hours journey from London to Stonehenge

Their tour included a fully private guided tour of the Stonehenge Site including time to visit the Museum, Restaurant and Shop.

Their personsal guide explained all the main theories, including the folklore and King Arthur connections in a fun, relaxed and informative way.

Their next stop was The Bath Abbey . The guide explained that The Abbey was important as it was one of the last major Christian buildings built before Henry VIII split with the Catholic Church.

Founded as a town by the Romans who viewed the natural hot springs as sacred, the settlement flourished and the Roman Baths became one of the most impressive buildings in Roman Britain. Neglected during the dark ages, the Baths had a renaissance in the 18th Century, and continued to be used until the late 1970's. It was believed that the Doctors of Bath specialised in certain diseases, and those were the diseases of the rich! Wealthy visitors would flock to the Pump Room to follow their Doctors orders for their various ailments that would be cured in the waters of Bath.

On their walk around the centre of Bath they also saw the buildings that inspired Jane Austen and Charles Dickens, and where the Aristocracy spent their leisure time in the highly fashionable Bath Spa of the Georgian and Regency periods.

Lastly they visited the shops in the alley where Eric purchased a beautiful silk scarf and a beaded necklace for Shnaya .

They had lunch at Included at Sally Lunn's Historic Eating House and after that they explored a little more of the area . It was around 5 P M and now they started their journey back to London .

They reached Eric's hotel but instead of going home Eric asked her to come inside the hotel for a cup of coffee .

Shnaya was tired so a cup of coffee was welcome .

Eric had booked a luxury suite in the hotel. He ordered for tea and refreshments and both of them sat on the couch . Shnaya had her coffee and stretched on the couch . She was so tired that she fell asleep .

Eric had gone to shower and when he came back he saw her sleeping peacefully on the couch . He bent towards her removed the strands of hair from her face . Her hair was soft and silky .

She looked so beautiful sleeping like that . He bent towards her face and kissed her forehead. Then he gently brushed his lips over hers being careful not to awaken her .

Shnaya woke up after an hour and realised that she had slept in Erics suite . She got up to leave but Eric stopped her .

"Shnaya wait . Sit and relax . We will have a light dinner and then I will drop you "

"Eric I am not hungry . I just want to go home and rest "

There was a knock at the door . Their dinner had arrived . Shnaya went to freshen up in the bathroom and after a quick dinner Eric dropped her in a taxi .

"Good night Shnaya . Thanks for spending this day with me . I just loved today " , saying this he kissed her hand and left .
