THE ROYAL AFFAIR

THE CORONATION

Preparations were on full swing for their coronation .

Folk dancers from all over Rajasthan had been invited to perform .

Famous caterers from three regions were invited so that the royal feast could be catered to.

Flowers had been flown from two states for the decoration .

One week was a short period because the celebration was on a grand scale . Vikram wanted everything to be perfect because he knew this was the last celebration his father might attend .

The ceremony was to take place in the General Durbar as neighboring royal families , friends , all ministers and general public would be invited .

The royal designer was designing traditional dresses a shervani for Vikram and a lehnga for Shnaya .Shnaya felt a fraud going through this and she had tried to reason with Vikram but to no awail .When she thought their marriage was not for keeps then she didn't want to be introduced as the new Queen . It was not fair for the people .

Shnaya however was spending most of her time with the Maharaj and Maharani . She felt guilty for being away in London while they had been going through such a difficult situation .She sometimes felt she had failed as a daughter .

Surprisingly Maya seemed to be keeping a low profile .

Shnayas parents had visited twice and offered to take Maya home but Maya being the perfect actress she was had refused saying she needed to support her little sister in this difficult time . She said that until Maharaj got well she was going to stay with Shnaya and look after her . Kunwarbir had seemed pleased with Maya's change of heart .

Vishal was working with Vikram to make the coronation a successful one . They were just on cordial terms because Vikram was still angry with Vishal but seeing the sensitive situation he didn't want any arguments and fights .

A day before the coronation the designer came with their outfits .Shnaya was asked to try it and check if changes were required . The lehnga was beautiful with a maroon skirt and a golden blouse . It was made of pure silk and the embriodery was minimal but intricate just the way she liked it . She tried it and found it to be a little lose and asked for the fitting to be done . She wondered if Vikram had tried his outfit .

Her mobile rang . It was Eric . Eric had been very caring and supportive. He had called her many times asking about Maharaj's health and also how she was doing ? But Shnaya was careful and she attended his calls only when Vikram was not present.

Today she told him about the coronation the next day .

" Shnaya are you sure about this "

"No Eric I am still not sure where I stand with Vikram .He is going through so much that I can't ask him anything . Maya is still here which means that she is a part of his life . But ever since I have come back I haven't since them together even once . Maybe it is over but then also I need to hear it from his mouth .

However I love both the Maharaj and Maharani so I will do this for them "

"Shnaya you are a good person so everything will sort out . You just take care of Maharaj and even yourself .So now when I call you next time I will be speaking with a queen. " Eric tried to lighten the mood .

"Ok bye Shnaya and take care . Enjoy your coronation tomorrow.Remember you can call this friend anytime you feel like "Eric told her .

Shnaya smiled at his words . He was a good friend no doubt .

The rest of the day she spent with Maharaj and Maharani . They had a quiet dinner without Vikram whom she hadn't seen the entire day .She assumed he must be busy with arrangements.
