Drizzling 21

I looked around while pulling my luggage at the back. I saw people looking at my direction, some passed at me, while some don't even give me a glance. I am looking for a certain face on the crowd so I scanned the place.

When I saw the familiar smile, I instantly made my way to his direction.

He got the luggage from my hand before giving me a peck on my cheek. Napailing ako pagkalayo niya.

"Miss me?" he asked as we made our way out of the airport.

"No," I answered shortly.

Napailing ito pero may naglalarong ngiti sa mga labi. "Still the savage, Cass."

Napairap ako.

We entered his car before eating in a restaurant. The flight made me famished and tired all at the same time. Kaya naman after naming kumain, inihatid niya na rin ako agad sa condominium.

"You sure you won't need my help?" He looked at my luggage and some paper bags I'm holding. We are at the lobby of the condominium.

Tumango lang ako. "Already told you it's Terrence unit, right?"

I mean,  I'm not sure if he have intention or something in his mind. I'm  just really tired and jet lag made me want to just sleep.

Tumango siya. "Okay. Text me if you need anything?"

"Yeah, fine, whatever."

Pagkasabi ko noon ay umalis na ako sa harap niya at naglakad papuntang elevator.

"Bye," I said, without looking at him, my hands with paper bag in the air, waving at him.

Nang malapit na ako sa elevator ay pinindot ko ang up button. I waited for the lift at the side. Bumaling ako sa kaniya at nakitang iniintay niya pa akong makapasok. Humarap ako sa elevator.

After few seconds, it opened in front of me. I watched as people move out of elevator before looking at the paper bags I'm holding. I hope Terrence will like these.

I stepped in when I thought everyone was out but when I looked up, there was someone left. My lips parted at his sight.

His hair was still in a styled but messy look. His face had stubbles just like the first time I met him. His skin was a little darker. But aside from that, everything was the same from how the last time I saw him; Including the chained necklace.

I tilted my head as to why it was the first thing I looked into instead of his clothes.

I moved to the side of the elevator, thinking he will step out. I punched Terrence' floor button. Through the stainless wall of the elevator, I saw him still standing on his place. Inayos ko ang aking luggage sa aking gilid. I looked at the paper bag on my hand pagkataopos ay napakunot ang noo ko. Parang may kulang?

Walang ibang pumapasok kaya nagsisimula ng sumara ang elevator.

Why he wasn't going out? 'Di ba pababa siya? Sumilip ako kung may baba pa sa basement pero paakyat na ang elevator.

I tried to glance at him, but to my surprise, he was staring at me.

Should I talk to him? But how?

The last time I saw and talked to him, there was an invisible wall between us.

But we're still friends... right?

I opened my mouth, about to say something when I heard someone yelled my name.

"Cass!"

I looked outside and pressed the open button of the elevator, to prevent it from closing. I saw Leo, panting while holding a small paper bag, containing a watch I bought for Terrence. "You left this."
