Zyle visited the house everyday pero hindi ko nga lang siya kinakausap. Terrence was allowing him in but when he sensed that I'm avoiding him, the next day, he started visiting without my knowledge. Nalalaman ko lang na pumupunta siya sa bahay dahil sinasabi ni Terrence. Sila ang madalas magkasama dahil pati pagbili ng pinaglilihian ko, siya raw ang bumibili ayon kay Terrence. Paminsan ay nakikita ko sila sa sala sa mga araw na nasa kwarto lang ako buong magdamag at sumisilip lang mula sa second floor.

A month passed like that. The only time I saw Zyle face to face was on my check-ups. And it only happened twice. Kaya naman nagulat ako nang isang araw ay nagising ako na nakaupo na siya sa gilid ng kama.

Kahit maaga pa ay napakunot na agad ang noo ko. "What are you doing here?" I asked in a sleepy tone before yawning.

He heaved an audible sigh before he sat closer to me, but he's still on the floor.

"I can't do it anymore, CC," he said. "Please, let's talk again?"

"Zyle, there's nothing left to talk." Napailing ako. "We talked before because I want you to give closure." I bit my inner cheek. "I give you that so that you knew my reasonings. Ayokong maging kagaya ng ex mo na iniwan ka na lang basta. Kasi Zyle alam ko 'yung sakit na 'yung karelasyon mo, may iniintay pang iba kasi hindi pa sya totally moved on." I felt the corner of my eye watered.

Dammit. Nandito na naman ako. Ang aga-aga, drama agad ng buhay ko.

"If you'll enter a relationship again, I was hoping she won't feel what I felt and feeling right now. That's why I gave you closure because that's what we deserve."

Nakardam ako ng kung anong humahalukay sa aking tiyan. Magsasalita pa sana siya pero agad na akong nanakbo sa banyo bago maduwal.

Agad rin naman siyang sumunod at hinagod ang aking likod habang nakatapat ako sa bowl. Naramdaman ko pang hinawi niya ang aking buhok.

Ugh! Morning Sickness!

Nanghihinang tumayo ako pagkatapos saka nag-flush. I walked to the sink to brush my teeth and gargled a mouthwash. After spiting it, I hold to the counter as my guide out.

"Let me carry you, CC. You're didn't look fine," sabi niya habang inaalalayan ako. Hinatak ko ang aking braso sa kaniya at nagpatuloy maglakad.

"I can walk."

"Please? Baka madulas ka pa."

I froze. The image of me falling on the bathroom floor flashed into my eyes. I immediately felt nervous for our baby. If there's one thing that I always think of, it was the safety of my baby. Just the thought of something bad might happen already send me to tears. Paano pa kung may mangyari talaga?

"Fine," I said swallowing my pride before facing him.

I let him carry me and place me on the bed. I instantly hugged the pillow on my side when I felt the soft mattress on my back. Agad akong pumikit, nagpahinga, habang ramdam ko na pinapanood ako ni Zyle.

I don't want to be rude, by not ignoring his presence, but my eyes kept on closing I didn't know I was drifting to sleep.

I went straight to the kitchen when I woke up again. I smelled the familiar smell of pancakes making me rushed into the kitchen as my mouthed watered by the thought of soft, fluffy pancakes.

But I was halted when I saw who it was in front of the stove. He was transferring a pancake on the top of other fluffy pancakes on a plate.

I was meters away from him since I'm almost at the living room. Just by staring at his back, I can see that Zyle was wearing a white polo buttons down paired with denim pants and loafers.
