Drizzling 17

I woke up by the warm steak of light from the window that was on my face.

I groaned in annoyance before opening my eyes which widened at the sight of Zyle's face that was inches away from me.

He was lying his back against the mattress, but his face was turned to me. I bit my inner cheek when I noticed that one of my legs was on him, same as my hand above his chest.

Ngayon lang 'ata ako nainis dahil malikot ako matulog.

I slowly removed my legs and arms around him, careful not to wake him.

I stared at his calmed face like he doesn't have any problems at all. I was ogling at him when suddenly, his eyes opened. I panicked.  I instantly closed my eyes to pretend that I was sleeping nang maramdam kong gumalay ang kama. Baka tumayo na siya.

"Terrence," he paused. Maybe calling Terrence. "What are you doing here?" I heard Zyle said with a morning voice.

Why does it sound sexy?

I shook the thought away and stilled when what he said dawn to me.

Agad na napabukas ang mga mata ko dahil sa narinig. I saw him sit up while rubbing his eyes. Saka dumako ang mga mata ko kay Terrence na nasa paanan ng kama, nakataas ang kamay habang hawak ang kaniyang cellphone na nakatutuok sa amin. Suddenly, his phone produced a click sounds from a camera.

"Nothing," he said and instantly hide his phone to his back pocket like he was caught doing something wrong.

Napalingon sa akin si Terrence and gave me a knowing look saying I should be guilty of something he knew.

My brow raised to him. Did he saw me ogling at Zyle?

I bit my cheek from the inside. This Freak. Kanina pa s'ya dito?

Napailing na lang ako saka bumangon.

"Done with your job?"

Tumango si Terrence.

"I went straight here after the job. 2AM."

I frowned. "How did you know I'm here?"

"Zyle called me. I sleep in the guest room. Though everything was covered with dust. Just changed the duvets."

He stared at me for a moment. "Your eyes were still swollen. Zyle said you're crying even on sleep."

Napabaling ako kay Zyle na kakatayo lang mula sa kama.

Mas nauna siyang nakatulog sa akin ha? Paano niya nasabi 'yon?

I tried to remember what I said yesterday night and loosen up when I haven't do anything regretful.

Lucky me.

But I was really curious about something na ngayon ko lang ulit na alala.

"Zyle, how come you knew I was at the playground?"

I was so sure I didn't tell Terrence my whereabouts even though I knew he could locate me if he wanted. But still, I just wanted to know.

"I didn't really leave from the restaurant. I was just waiting for you to have a companion, but you leave. Maybe after thinking I was gone. Followed you from the mall to the village but guards didn't let me in, so I called Terrence for help."

I faced Terrence blankly then rolled my eyes. He really knew how to abuse his powers sometimes.

"Are you okay now, Cass."

Tumango lang ako. Wala naman na akong magagawa kung iiyak na naman ako dito buong araw. Dad already cheated. He already hurt mom and he just tore the picture my ideal man.
