Jihyun Nam was born on the 21th of January, 1998. She was 16 when she died.
Jihyun was the youngest child of her family. She had loved dancing from a young age, and danced along to the music her mother played her. As she grew up, she fell in love with ballad songs and got more interested in ballet. Jihyun was described as cheerful and bright girl with a good sense of humor by her peers. She had won an election to become the class president, and she loved to boast about it. Jihyun's favorite subject was Korean history, and she loved the old stories from Koreans. Jihyun's dream was to become a prodcaster and marry a famous model.
The night before the sinking, Jihyun's father saw the ferry disapearing into the fog in his dream. He felt omnious. Watching the news that day must've been crushing.
Her body was recovered and returned to her parents. She now rests at Ansan Sky Memorial Park.
