Jina was born on the 30th of January, 1998. She was 16 when she died.
Jina was born physically weak, and had to go trough a heart surgery at the age of six months. She was strong and recovered slowly, but surely. To her mother, Jina was irreplacable. She loved to give hugs to her, go shopping with her and play badminton at the nearby park. Her mother wasn't wealthy, but she didn't mind if she didn't get the new trendy clothes. Jina's friends were Ara Kim and Dain Pyeon. Jina's ultimate dream was to become a webtoon artist.
Her last text was with her mother, right before boarding. Her mother sent her a text saying she should have fun and make a lot of memories, but she received no answer. The next day when she heard about the sinking, she rushed to Jindo, calling out to Jina, receiving no response.
Her body was recovered and returned to her family. She now rests at Ansan Sky Memorial Park.
