Seongbok Park was born on the 15th of December, 1997. He was 16 when he died.

Seongbok was the eldest child of his family. He loved his younger sister, and would play with her all day. He also had good relationship with both of his parents and their siblings, he was planning on working at the store his aunt owned. Seongbok was talented in music, he could sing but also play the piano, violin..he could play almost everything. At school he was an active member of the YMCA club, and he eventually became the club leader. He was described as warm and kind, especially towards new members. He tried defending those who were insulted, and made sure to not hurt anyone with his words. He was also a little emotional, and was easily excited. Seongbok spent weekends volunteering at nursery homes, where he cooked the best rice in the elders had tasted or he was playing the piano at churches. He also had a lot of friends, mostly from the year below him. He listened to their problems, and eventually became their 'counselor'. He had promised to buy each of them something from Jeju. Seongbok's ultimate dream was to open up his own cafe.

His phone was retrieved after the sinking. There was one video, the last video of Seongbok. it was him singing 보고 싶다 (I want to see) in the ferry.

His body was recovered and returned to his parents. He now rests at Ansan Sky Memorial Park.
