Nina was born on the 26th of June, 1986. She was 27 years old when she died.
Nina lived in South Korea, but loved Japan and it's culture. Her favorite book was Norwegian Wood, and she was excited when she was accepted to study abroad in a university in Japan. She cared for her students and was popular among them. Nina sometimes wore sumo masks to class, made cakes for her students during their birthdays and sung happy birthday in Japanese, and shared Japanese food with them during breaks.
During the sinking, she took all her students from floors 5 and 4 and guided them to the deck. She was last seen with a few of her students at the restaurant, looking for an exit.
Her body was recovered without a life jacket from the 3rd floor restaurant and returned to her family. She now rests at Hwaseong Sky Memorial Park
