Introductions

Angel answered composedly "Well, yes. That would be unexpectedly nice. Yes."

Angel is being composed, but I'm not an Astral and even I can see the way that question hit her like a ton of bricks. Her scent went into stress territory as well, layering on a sure knowledge of Angel's underlying mental state.

In the group of people gathered around us, Simi scanned and visually found Kevin. "Kevin, dear one. Could you run down and get Tala? I think I saw her in her house on the way here, hanging some laundry."

"Sure, Simi. Be right back." Kevin bounded away.

Vera watching him go with appreciation.

"Could Kevin run a lot of errands?" Vera asked as she watched him happily running. "Because I could watch that boy run all day. I'll pay. I have money. Somewhere. Shit." Vera looked over at Angel. "Angel? Do you know where I put my money? I have been kind of distracted lately."

"Succubuses are not good at keeping track of money." Angel teased.

Simi laughed. "Yes. Kevin is energy itself, isn't he? He is like that in bed too. All happy energy. Also, you are a Siren, so he is going to appeal to you especially."

Simi looked at Angel knowingly. "You are Astral, so I assume she is your lover?"

"Yes, she is. Also him." Angel reached out and touched the back of my hand. "Her once so far." She nodded at Jessica.

"Twice." Jessica corrected her. "Tickle massage. Shower on way here. That's two."

"Oh. Yes. I was not sure you counted the tickle massage time as that was two of us, and I was sort of ... Well. Calling it as it was, not totally sexually functional yet." Angel said.

"Given where your mouth was, it counts dear." Jessica said.

"OK. I would like to do better." Angel said. "I have been practicing."

"OK." Jessica looked around. "Maybe we can get a boy from here to join us. Fix the gender balance issue at the same time. I know you don't have that issue, but I do. Vera does too: see her slobbering after Kevin for details on that."

Angel looked around. "Helen is not here to say you can, but I see several possibilities here that your spouses might approve. We'll talk later."

"I see. Interesting." Simi said of that byplay. "You three are married to each other... A Vampire triad, I assume, and you have taken outside lovers, and your lover has also taken a lover. You are keeping up the Vampire traditions. Except for the marriage part. That is unusual. Vampires usually form poly pods and call it good. Usually all female, for obvious reasons."

Jessica fielded that. "Four of us actually. Our poly pod is a little too female for two of us. My fault, in a way. Adrian and I wanted to get married. I turned him, and I was his probation officer when he was on Parole. Adrian turned Morgan, but he was already in love with her before that. Long story but like almost all turns, accidental. Also necessary. As I said: Long story. Despite Morgan being a lady, I love the hell out of her so I asked Morgan to marry us. She would have anyway, but I got there first. We have a third wife. Helen. She is Council and was on Adrian's Subcommittee. She turned me. Helen is home with our children while we came out in search of Angels' past."

Simi nocked an eyebrow and asked offhandedly "Biological children I assume?" She glanced between Morgan and Jessica. "Both of you are mothers?"

Jessica was only slightly taken aback, but Vera rotated her head away from where Kevin had gone (I assume she was waiting to watch him return) on that one. It caught her attention to have someone assume such an idea.
