Ginger and Wyatt spent a long time talking about Astrals, but there was only one hint I heard of use. Look in Northern Louisiana. That is semi-useful, but we already decided that is our starting place anyway, because of the Voodoo sisters.
Morgan was looking at a map as we talked and sort of closed the discussion saying "I think as soon as we can arrange it, I should go over to New Orleans, and begin my search."
"And I." Jessica said, and that came out of the blue for me.
"And I. We are looking for my relatives, after all." Angel said.
I said nothing at that point, but all three looked at me. "Adrian?" Morgan asked.
"Helen and Rachel, not here. I have to stay with the kids." I pointed out.
"Don't be silly, Son. We'll watch them." Dad said. "Go. Besides, Helen and Rachel will be home soon."
"Can Vera accompany you as well?" Ginger asked.
"Sure." Jessica said.
"Be aware, Vera, that means you are traveling with two wives and a girlfriend, so you might feel a little left out." Angel added.
"Yeah. That occurred to me." Vera groused, adding to Ginger "I have to work..."
Ginger cut her off "We are your bosses, Vera, and so we can tell you to take a paid training trip. Kitty can run the food, and Leslie can run the bar, and Larry can pretend he is in charge. If they need any help on the books, we'll get Shirl over to help for a while. We need you for bigger things, Vera. Consider this as part of your new Liaison work."
Shirl is who used to run 'The Firehouse' before Vera happened upon the scene, and I wondered at the larger hand in play there. It is perhaps not only because Vera is competent and the woman Larry can't get into his bed. She is utterly resistant to Siren Song but has zero resistance to Vampire pheromones, or at least mine. In light if the Astral revelations, I wonder about that.
"Ok. Fine. Message received. If that's what you want, Boss."
"That is what we, the Assembly, would like you to do. Yes." Ginger was firm. Adding the Assembly to it put a lot of mental weight on it.
"You'll be fine, Vera. Among friends." I assured her.
"Yeah. Friends that screw like bunnies, and with a guy that used to screw me like that."
