Chapter 35
Marissa’s POV
Both options were weighing heavily on my mind. What did I have to stay for but would it be weak to run away? in the end it really came down to what kind of person I really was. Was I that girl who ran from things she couldn’t handle or was I that girl who sticks through it no matter how tough it may get?I looked at the clothes on my bed and the suitcase. I had the option right now of which one I really wanted. i looked over at my clothes and threw them all in my suitcase. I balled them up and didn’t even old them before smashing them in along with the rest of my belongings and zipping the case shut. Some decisions that justify what can happen in life but I will never know if I don’t take a chance with it. And there was my decision.
Zane’s POV
I ran threw the dark night with my hair blowing in my face. Rain drops slowly started dropping at first and then they became a lot more persistent. By the time I reached the main building I was soaked. My hair was glues to my forehead, I was panting and sweating and my clothes were stuck to my body. I had to drag the bloody suitcase all the way here which only slowed me down even more.
I walked up the lady at the front desk. She looked at me and immediately her face turned into an expression of something very un-friendly.
“May I help you?” she asked with a flat voice.
“Yea I need to know which room Marissa Hale is in currently” I rushed out. She didn’t answer for a second which only made me want to slap her even more.
“Who’s asking?” she finally decided. I rolled my eyes at her response, I would have to file a complaint when I had time. I noticed on her name tag her name was Gloria. Well Gloria you might want to consider a career where you don’t really have to interact with people because you won’t be working here for much longer I said to myself.
“Zane, soon to be alpha of the blood rose pack. my father sent me” Is what I really said. Her face changed into surprise before she started typing away on her computer.
“Room 567 of the fifth floor” She said. I didn’t even bother thanking her before rushing towards the elevator. I ditched my suitcase in the lobby, I would have to come back and get it later. John was somewhere lost in the rain because he couldn’t keep up.
When the elevator dinged at the fifth floor it took all the power in me not to barrel out into the halls like a crazy person. Instead I waked calmly out of the elevator in search of her room. As I walked by one girl I watched as she took a double look at me and started looking over my body. I rolled my eyes at how some people could be like that, I was one of those people at once. But that was before that little mate of mine stole my heart without my permission.
“Could I help you find anything?” She started in her sweet voice.
“Uh maybe. Do you know where Marissa Hale’s room is?” I stopped and asked.
“Yea I do. My name is Sarah what’s yours” She purred out.
“I'm Zane I would appreciate it if you could show me where her room was” I said impatiently.
“Oh my god, your Zane?” She asked as if she couldn’t believe her eyes.
“Uh yea” I answered unsure of what she was getting at here.
“Your Marissa’s mate?” she asked again with side eyes. I gulped and nodded, how did she know that. “Oh ok then, well her room is right down the hall. If things don’t work out I'm in room 590” Sarah said with a wink. She gave me a little smirk before twirling around and walking back in the other direction. Wow she was a crappy friend if she even was Marissa’s friend.
